Can you measure your child's wrist for me? - ESPECIALLY BOYS?

No kids to measure but I am female in my early 20s with a 7" wrist. I'd also have to add in there I'm 5'9" and fairly average in size.

My dd8 wrist is 5 1/2 inches

Mine is 6" even.

I know this is a zombie thread but I'm just wondering what kind of project you are doing where you need measurements of wrists?
I was thinking you were making some sort of bracelet but since there are already standard sizes it may be something else.
