Can we do AK on arrival day

Has anyone ever tried to get through AK on their arrival day. We land at 10:45. It is also EMH at AK that day so was planning to try 1-7. Is it possible or will we be to rushed?

It is totally possible to do AK on arrival day. Is that the only day you will have to do AK? With the amount of time that you will have there you will get a lot done. THe fast passes may be gone by that time for Everest so you will have to wait in standby line possibly...but the amount of time you are giving for the park is doable.

OP: what time of year are you going? If it is a slower time of year you def can do animal kingdom on arrival day.

AK is really doable in one day. In face we get it done in a couple hours and have time to go back for a few things. Its the one park we actually only visit once on our trip. 1p - 7p is plenty of time as long as you get checked into the resort at a decent time.

We are going in January. It isn't our only day available, but we are running in the 5K and may want a relaxation day after that. Trying to plan and don't really know if we will need a second day there. If not we will try to use it somewhere else. Thanks

if you are going in January you can def finish animal kingdom during the time you allotted.

we were just there a couple of weeks ago we arrived at 10 and were done by 3pm.

For our family AK is only a 1/2 day park. We have been many times so we only need to do our favorites and the things that we want to do. You should be fine, especially in Jan.

Yes you can do that, you can get alot done during EMH. We went in Sept and it was a bit corwded. We rode rides that didnt have long lines and then waited until EMH to do the popular rides that had long waits earlier.

We did AK on our arrival this past summer.. our flight landed after 10am, we got our luggage, picked up car rental and then got our park tix/check in at resort, it was almost lunch time when we arrived at AK. Spent the afternoon there, it was great considering we hadn't planned on even going to AK on that trip, DD11 really wanted to pop over there for a few rides and characters, so we went over there.
