Can resturaunts pull dining with ID and no room key

I am staying 1st night at AKV, and then moving next 6 nights to BC (With dining plan). The 1st night I am skipping dining. In the AM we are heading directly to AK, and will have them move my bags. Do I have to go to hotel to use my dining for the 1st day, or can I show ID and they look it up?
I want to go to AK for the day and use dining and then go and check in around 2 - 4 when the room will be ready. Anyone know if this is even possible?

Don't think it is possible.

No you have to check in at BC and you can do that as early as approximately 7am, and while your room will most likely not be available at that time, the CM will check you in and issue KTTW card with your dining plan credits loaded on to it and then you can go on to park, & call back to check later in day if your room is available (or they may even contact your cell phone ).

The dining credits are only accessible from your key card, so you need to plan to check in before you use any dining credits.

You might want to go to Epcot or DHS your first day at BCV and do AK on a different day. You can check in, get your KTTW card and DDP credits, and then take the boat or walk to Epcot or DHS.
