Can one guarantee

to book a dedicated two bedroom villa with two beds in the second bedroom (as opposed to a lock off) at SSR as we (wife, 7 year old daughter and 10 month old son)are planning to go next year with my wife's two 30 something sisters, neither of whom will be too happy about having to sleep on a sofa bed.

You can certainly request a dedicated two bedroom. When we booked a two bedroom at Beach Club Villas, our confirmation actually listed the room type as a dedicated two bedroom.

We are members, so this was done through member services. I don't know if central reservations can guarantee the room type.

DVC members, yes. Booking through DRC, maybe not.
