Can I convert tracfone to Straight Talk plan?

DDs tracfone isn't cutting it. Based on an earlier thread, I've narrowed down our choices to two: PagePlus or SmartTalk. I would do the $30 plan with either, but my DD wants to keep her LG Tracfone. SmartTalk is part of Tracfone, so can't I use her current phone?? I've searched, but have only found info that says you have to buy a Straight Talk phone. With PagePlus, I can use an LG phone but the service isn't as good here.

Anyone have an opinion on which route I should go?? Thanks!!!
