Checking in tomorrow at BWV, wondering what the chances are that we receive a renovated room? Have they only done the 5th floor at this point? We have a standard view booked, and are willing to wait!

The standard view hallway does not have many rooms on the 5th floor, just the first hallway. After that it drops to 4 floors. Did you put a request in through Member Services? In my experience, BWV assigns rooms in advance.

we requested higher floor close to elevator.... crossing my fingers
Hope that you get a renovated room !! Going in October and hoping for the same! Enjoy!

Were you lucky enough to get a renovated room? What is the status of renovations there? :confused3
Hope that you are having a GREAT vaca so far!:cheer2:

We just returned from our BWV trip.... standard view, room #3107 was not refurbed yet. I actually like the old style and was glad to get it. It's about across from the bus stop and an easy walk using the stairs.

we were in a renovated room! it was standard view on 5th floor. room 5081. The decor looked nice, smelled fresh. and the murphy bed worked out great for our younger son. and yes it is plenty big for a small teen! he is 14 and about 5feet 23 inches. He didnt dangle off the end.only flaw we found was that he had to get up and out in order to access the kitchen table for us to get ready for breakfast. That stinks. The new tile in bathroom floor and backsplash were nice, but they kept the old blue floral in the tub shower. it doesnt really match? new laminate was easy to wipe or sweep as needed. we liked that we were not far from the elevators either. last year our BW view was awesome but man the hike to the elevator was long.

Glad you liked it. 5th floor! Did you get a good view of Illuminations? Bummer about the table/murphy bed thing. We almost never use our table in a studio (we always pile junk on it) and prefer sitting on the deck.

yes we could see a good amount of Illuminations! we were not right over RAC either. could still faintly hear the beeping of trucks getting luggage but it was fine! we use the table to have breakfast in the mornings, so it was get up and move onto the bed so I can fold this thing up! but he was glad to not have to share or use an air mattress.

Thanks to know a 5' 3" child can sleep there our DD is 5' 2" and 102 lbs.
Great plus for our DD & DS do not sleep together.
BWV is one our our choices to rent
As is the POLYV - also with a murphy pull down
Either are great for us - we like MK & EPCOT

that was our plan because he would not sleep with his brother, so it worked out great! the points to rent a standard BW studio are a great deal!
