It's not necessarily a Disney related question, but what are your bucket list campgrounds? Mine are: The Fort (scheduled for May 2015), Camp Gulf (scheduled for June 2014), Gulf State Park in AL, any Camp Jellystone, and Cherrystone in VA Any good ones I need to add?dde09

I'd like to visit

TOPSAIL HILL PRESERVE STATE PARK GREGORY E. MOORE RV RESORT, FL

let's see...
Yosemite NP, Yellowstone NP, Glacier NP, Grand Canyon NP, Smoky Mtns NP...
I guess I'm going to be one of those people who try to "collect" the national parks. I like having a goal...:rotfl:

I'm on the lookout for something that is on par with Fort Wilderness or what Topsail Hill was a few years back (I've been hearing that it has gone into a slow decline.)

We're checking out Live Oak Landing in Freeport Florida, which has gotten great reviews. We're hopeful...

I'll be interested to hear what others have to say!

My parents went earlier this year and LOVED it. Extended an extra week while they were there (ahh to be retired and travel in the off seasons and just stay an extra week somewhere on a whim!) It is definitely on my list after looking at their pictures!

There are so many FL state parks that intrigue me!

ETA: in addition to the National Parks, I'd love to hit some quirky places like this one: http://www.hiwayhaven.com/

Wow!!! This drive-in fan would love to stay there. However, Oregon is way too far. Besides, we're strictly tent campers.

Reminds me of that KOA up just north of Dayton. Next to the drive-in theatre. Every time we'd go camping there, we'd hit the drive-in. I still remember watching Lion King there, so it was at least 20 years ago.

The one biggie on my personal camping bucket list is the Fort. I'd also love to camp at Yellowstone and Yosemite (might be able to drive to Yellowstone, but I think Yosemite is a little too far). Also the Florida Keys. And Washington DC.

Bahia Honda State Park in the Florida Keys about 30 miles from Key West is the park to do in the Keys. Be forewarned it books FULL at the earliest reservation time for the Snow Bird season (about Thanksgiving to Easter).

Trailer Village is in the Grand Canyon National Park on the South Rim and it has RV hooks. A few years ago I did a backpacking trip inside the canyon on the Corridor Trails and checked out the Village while there. DW won't hike below the rim but I'd like to take her there and stay at the Trailer Village.

I totally forgot! Blue Water Key in Key West is my ultimate, must get to before I kick it, Bucket List CG: http://www.bluewaterkey.com

Oh it's nice, yes, but it looks down on some of us in the camping community.

From their website:

Please note that we do not accept tents, pop-up campers, RVs with soft-sided/canvas pop-outs, or truck campers. All units are subject to management approval.

Me and my little popup will be happy to go elsewhere. :moped:

When we had our popup there were enough campgrounds that had this restriction that I finally asked one why. That particular campground was in the mountains, in bear country. Keeping RVers safe from bears was their reason (liability?). I suspect for many other campgrounds it's an issue of maintaining an appearance. Whether for other RVers or the greater community, it's anyone's guess. At least they're not "Class A/motor coach" exclusive. That's the ultimate in RV exclusivity.
