I love your flashback pics!! Those are great!

I know you must be getting so excited. Me and the girls always go down, every Sept, except this one. I miss being down there this time of the year. The crowds are so low. We are going next month though, want to be there for Halloween. You're going to have a great time!!!

Definitely very excited! :) Thank you! Next month will be just as awesome for you guys!

That's because we're all Disney-obsessed freaks. :rotfl: Whenever my friends, family, coworkers, etc, hear half the stuff I plan they think I'm crazy. :confused3

Haha...I know! People seriously think I'm certifiably insane when I tell them I'm going to stay down in Disney a few extra days BY MYSELF in January after the half marathon! They can't comprehend how I can be all alone in Disney and have fun! :confused3

Awww I love all the flashback pics! Isn't it awesome to have grown up at Disney?! :goodvibes

Thank you! It really is awesome and I'm so appreciative of my parents and my grandparents for allowing me to be a complete Disney girl :)

Love the new flashbacks pics!!! I love 80's pictures... Shorts were super short and socks were super tall... :rotfl:

I have an 80's picture of my Mom in a bikini drinking an Old English 40... With the Farrah Fawcett hair... I keep trying to use it as blackmail, but she has the video of me in 4th grade in the school recital dressed as an alien... :scared1:

I love the pics!! Very cool. I think it's terrific and, I'm sure, it is a joy to go through them and relive those memories. :goodvibes

I was 19 when I went for the first time and I'm not really sure where those pics are. I'll find them at some point!

I can't wait for more!! ....or I can just look at your Flickr :rotfl:

I'm going on my sixth solo trip, and am starting to plan my next two already. Aside from people thinking I can't possibly have any fun alone, I also am told the whole, "how can I keep on going to the same place" speech among other things. Another one of my "favorites" is why don't I save up my money and go someplace nice like Europe or something, but now I've just started replying that I would like to go to France someday to go to Disneyland Paris.

I feel ya there! I just don't tell many people. I don't want to hear their opinions on my choices. :rotfl:

The only "iffy" thing is character meals. I'm not so sure about doing those solo.

I don't think I'd do character meals solo. From the ones I've been to, they're really for the kids and the parents are there to take pics and eat.

I've been to just about every character meal solo. For the most part I've really enjoyed them. I always ask an adult at a neighboring table if they'll take my picture for me, and 90% of the time they don't mind at all.

I do think buffets are kind of annoying solo, but that's mostly because I don't like leaving the table unoccupied, so I feel the need to take my stuff up to the buffet with me, and then I worry that the server will think I ran out on the check, since I leave nothing at the table.

I love all the clothes too, although i do yell at my parents when i see something hideous on me. WHAT were they thinking?! :) And omg...that's the best blackmail photo of your mom EVER! For my friends mothers 60th bday, my friend found an old embarrassing photo of her mom and used it as the invitations to the surprise party! Luckily her mom is a good sport :)

I actually have a LOT of home movies from there too and whenever I actually get motivated, I'll download them onto my computer and make clips out of them. Then we can see all the old rides too :thumbsup2

Epcot is coming up soon!

It is so cool to see how the characters have changed. :)

isn't it crazy! Some of these costumes are definitely scary! No wonder kids hated them!

Yay! I love the new pics! :thumbsup2 So fun. Robin seems to be quite the charmer in the 80s too! ;)

haha, he was a ladies man even back then :)

I've been trying to even out my trips...one to disney...one somewhere else. But then all these Disney events get in the way! I've been dying to go to Ireland so I'm TRYING to plan that for next year. But then I also have the half marathon in january that I obviously MUST go to. :confused3

I don't really tell anyone everything either. Or I leave a few things out. ;) Everyone knows I'm going in January but only 3 or so people know I'm staying after my friends leave for 4 days and staying solo. If anyone else asks I just say my friends from Florida are coming to Disney too and they're staying in my hotel room with me. :rolleyes1

I'm not big on solo character meals either. I still have yet to eat solo anywhere so the Disney trip is going to be a crash course. I don't need added stress with character meals! maybe one day...but I doubt it.

I don't think I'd do character meals solo. From the ones I've been to, they're really for the kids and the parents are there to take pics and eat.

Agreed... no solo character meals for me either!

11 Days Away!!!!! Tomorrow I can do online check it...woohoo!

OK so now on to Epcot's ToDo/NotDo List and Flashback photos...ready? Now on with the show!

Epcot
Do:
o Spaceship Earth (cute I guess..and mom hasn't seen the refurb)
o Universe of Energy (hate to say it...love this attraction. The smell when you get into the dinosaurs just brings back so many memories!)
o Mission Space Orange (this is a must for me. The only ride that I have decided I will do without mom. Just going to park her on a bench with ice cream or in the store, haha)
o Epcot Character Spot (we did this last time right at rope drop and it was awesome, hit the fab 5 all within 10 mins)
o Nemo (cheesy but cute!)
o Turtle Talk with Crush (just to watch for a bit, never have seen it)
o Imagination (nothing compares to the original but I loveeee figment, even in his new obnoxious form)
o Gran Fiesta Tour (relax out of the heat!)
o Maelstrom (mom enjoyed this last time although I had to convince her a million times the drop was nothing bad)
o Reflections of China (i love all these movies. china is on my list of places to travel to so it's interesting to me)
o American Adventure (by far my favorite attraction in the countries)
o Voices of Liberty (will see them multiple times for sure. I tear up every time and can listen to them all day. think they'll do my wedding on day?)
o Impression of France (cheesy movie but oh well)
o O Canada (usually hate martin short but he's entertaining in this)
o Kim Possible (MIGHT do... we'll see how hot it is and if there's a lot of people doing it too)
o Innoventions (skipped right through these last time but if we have time we'll browse)

Not Do:
o Test Track (honestly just not a fan and mom wont go on so not a big loss for me)
o Soarin (umm...no flames. i don't get the hoopla over this. it's fun for a few times then it gets old?)
o Circle of Life (nice video but WAYYYY too loud last few times I saw it. it hurts my ears let alone mom would freak out)
o HISTA (ugh... i'd rather sit through an endless loop of Captain EO!)
o Living With the Land (sadly closed...boo!)

Now on to the Epcot Flashbacks!! (PS...that tiedye Mickey shirt in 1990 used be my favorite shirt EVERRRRRR!)

Apparently I don't have as many Epcot photos scanned as I thought! :)

Welcome! :) Do you have a pretrip report started too? Glad to see we're staying at POFQ at the same time! If you see me, stop by and say hello!

Oh...and your countdown ticker might be a little off..it says 3 weeks... but from my last count..we're 12 days out! :woohoo: ***OK...edited to add: Umm...now that I look at it, it says 1 week, 5 days. So it's right! I have NO idea why it said 3 weeks before!***

No trip report started, toyed with the idea of doing one but time always got away from me. I'd like to, at the very least, do a food report. I can't tell you the hours I would sit and look at food porn just to decide where to eat and what to order. :rotfl:

Your report is fun to read, especially waiting for MICKEY MAIL!! But now we only have 11 days. Hang in there... and I will be on the look out for you and your momma. I'll be wearing my lime green mickey with my baggalini bag! (thanks to the all the Disser's for recommending.) :thumbsup2

Spaceship Earth - great up until the descent, then falls flat. The screen thing is somewhat interesting but there's nothing around except black curtains.

Nemo was a fun little ride; it's nice to see a ride in The Seas again.

Imagination was okay; nothing compared to the original (they still play One Little Spark on the buses)

Everyone and their grandma is doing Kim Possible around World Showcase. Those phones are going off everywhere.

We slacked on doing things in World Showcase. I think the only attraction we did was Gran Fiesta Tour which was decent.

Ohhh...you totally reminded me that I haven't made my LGMH yet! I have a ton of them but need to figure out how to put them on my bag. :) I was thinking of putting one in my window of our room too but we'll see!

Oh, I don't think character meals for just for kids. ;)

I just don't want to do it solo simply because I will not have pics to show for it! :rotfl:

I probably will not stand in line for a character if a photopass person is not there (assuming I'm solo). Though, I'm not into standing in lines *at all* if i can help it. Maybe it's a Jersey thing. Thereby character meals it is!

This trip, I'm heading for Garden Grill for the CP package, but I will be with a friend of mine and her mom, who are there the same time as I. The other meal is CRT and I don't think there is alot of character interaction there, so I might keep that one, even if I'm solo. :goodvibes

It's not just a Jersey thing. I do not like standing in lines at all either.

However, judging from who comments on my trip report, I seem to be popular in Jersey. Everything I know about Jersey I learned from:
