Booking with Dreams Unlimited?

Has anyone ever used Dreams Unlimited to book your room or vacation on Disney property? I got a room only quote from them which seems really great but have never used them before so would love some feedback.

Yes, I used them for my trip last January, and I'm using them again for this January. I didn't have any problems, and it was nice to let someone else worry about discount codes and ADR's.

They weren't able to save me any additional money on my last reservation (other than the AAA discount they originally booked me with) because I was not willing to change resorts. If I had been, I could have saved more with the AP discount. They took care of watching for the code and checking availability. I'm hoping I'll have better luck this time around.

They were able to get me all the ADR's I wanted for my trip in January 09, even though I didn't make the reservation until past the 180 day mark. I just gave them a list of what restaurants I wanted, and approximate days and times and let them handle the rest. It probably helped a lot that I was very flexible about dates, but again, it was nice to let someone else do the grunt work.

I don't use them every time. I feel a little awkward using them for my fall trips during hurricane season, when I could have to cancel at the last minute. I don't like the idea of them losing out on commission if I have to cancel. But that's a personal preference, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
 
I am using them for the first time for my December trip. Everytime codes come out I get an email. Unfortunately none of the codes are working for me. I am going when there seem to be no open rooms on property that week. At least I got AAA rates for most of my trip. They have made my ADRs for me, got me my MVMCP ticket, made my Segway tour reservation. They are only an email away, and are very responsive. I rarely have to wait long for a reply. I am also using DU for my cruise in May. It is the Dis Unplugged podcast cruise. I email my TA on an Sunday night at 9pm and got a very quick answer. I hadn't expected such a quick reply.

This is the first time I have used a Disney specialist travel agency. And it won't be the last time I use DU.

I'm using Dreams for the first time, and so far, it's been awesome! Ron, my new best friend is very quick responding to my many e-mail questions. Our trip is in February and I can't wait!
 
I am using them for our trip in december and am very pleased. We had originally booked for May and changed our dates when FD came out and our TA got me all the quotes I asked, changed our ressie, made our ADR, saved me a ton of time on the phone. I normally like to do evrything myself but I am gald I decided to go with a TA for this trip.
 
This is my first time using them. Dan is my TA and so far it has been great. We are not going until September though so there hasn't been much to do yet except for the initial booking.
 


This is our 1st time using DU. So far, so good.
Allison, our planner, was able to apply one of the discount codes to my after cruise reservation and saved us $$$. She got my MVMCP tickets for me and has answered every question promptly.:flower3:
 
For 30+ years we always booked our own. A few years ago I started using DU as a "thank you" for providing the DIS.

We now book 4-5 trips each year with Sue Ellen and she has been wonderful!

More kudos for Sue Ellen! She is the greatest, has handled all of our trips for over three years now. Today I discovered availability at the Polynesian for our November dates, called and was even able to finally apply a PIN code I had, snagging the Poly for $4 more than our AAA discounted BC room. I sent Sue Ellen an email and she wrote back a few hours later that she had tried unsuccessfully to book it for me herself, was told no availability, hung up and called back and managed to get it all switched over under our existing Dreams reservation. WHen I spoke with her later today she told me to go ahead and cancel the vreservation I booked today, enabling me to have that $375 credited back onto my Visa now instead of a few days from now. She's the greatest!
 
I'm using them, I dont know why though. I mean, no problems at all, dont get me wrong. It's just that there is nothing they are doing that I couldnt have done myself. Guess it just feels more special when someone else does the leg work..

You say the 'deal seems really great', there really should be hardly any difference in what you could book, and what they can book. Now, this could be a spot where using a TA is better as they may be aware of codes you arent..
