Booking Rooms with AP discounts

My DH and I are renewing our AP's for the first time for our August trip.
Do we get vouchers in the mail which we will need to activate before we check in at the hotel if we book with an AP discount?

We haven't booked yet since August AP rates aren't out yet but am just curious if anyone knows...

If you order your renewal via the mail they will send you a voucher. We have stayed dozens of times and surprisingly we have never been ask to show our AP. But as long as you have your old one and the voucher should you be asked you should be fine.

Good to know we don't have to run around changing our vouchers for activated APs before checking in!

I've NEVER been asked to show my AP...I think its already in their system even if you havent actually picked it up. Have fun!
