Rookie mistake... I don't know if it is a mistake but I booked through a travel agent instead of WDW directly... Has anyone ever used wdwvacationplanning.com? My trip is paid off but I am totally worried that It may of been a hoax. Im 30 days out from my trip, when does Disney normally realease the ME tickets and all the other things you need upon arrival? :confused3

Any help would be appreciated :)

I checked their site and it says that they're an authorized Disney vacation planner (I've definitely seen the logo on other sites so it's not like it's something they're making up). I'm sure that you'll get your stuff soon; just keep in mind though that Disney will be sending the packet to your agent who will then send it to you.

Have you contacted them to find out when they expect to get your packet?

I just talked to magical express yesterday. They said they send out luggage tags, vouchers, and booklet 45 days in advance. I don't know how it works w a travel agent, maybe they send it to them. Why not just call and ask for a piece of mind? After all, they are there to help you! I waited till a week in advance to call ME and ended up having to get vouchers at airport counter my last trip.

I always use a travel agent (Dreams Unlimited) and have never had any issues. As long as they are an authorized Disney agent (which is sounds like they are) you should be fine. Disney will send everything to them and then they should mail it to you. I usually get my documents around 20-30 days in advance. We don't use ME so I don't have any experience there though.

I am a travel agency owner, who is a disney specialist, and Disney usually sends them to us any where between 21-30 days prior to departure date. During "peak time" close to spring break, Christmas etc it is closer to 21 days If the agency that you used is a "Disney Authorized Planner" then that means that they do $100,000.00 or more in Disney sales per year. Disney is VERY picky about giving an agency that authorization, so I would say that they are a legit business.

I've booked both w/ a TA and directly through Disney. Both ways, I am always having anxiety attacks b/c the ME tags don't get to me as early as I would like.

I also know that I can go to the ME Desk at MCO and they will take good care of me if my ME tags did not arrive.

Everything will be fine. Just that last month of waiting is torture.

Beyond Torture! I'm a planning/orgainized freak which doesnt help the matter... I have already started packing my luggage. I emailed my "Disney Specialist" and she said they normally send the ME tags out 2 weeks before the trip. Cutting it close but as long as I get them!

So Jealous! I want to be a travel agent. People come to me all the time asking Disney questions. Trying to talk DB into moving to Florida so I can work at Disney and help plan trips! Thank you for the help!!

I agree...that last month is killer!
p.s.- Love the description of your hubby under your user name !!! :)

Did you pay with a credit card? If so the charges are normally to Disney direct not to the travel agent...We booked with AAA and all my charges are Disney not AAA.

Any booking should also go to the tour operator, not the agency. HUGE alert if your charges said they came from the agency.
