I just got off the phone with reservations, and I got my free dining plan!
I paid to upgrade from the QSDP to the
DDP, but it's worth it to me. When I first booked my package, it was $1043.98, but now with the free dining (and upgrade to DDP), it's $884.03. So, with the $200 deposit, I just owe Disney $684.03
It may not sound like much to anyone else, but that makes my paychecks go a little further over the next couple months
I also put in a request for the 70s building at Pop, and was told that I don't
need to have 6 days of park tickets. Apparently, I just read the post on the Dis blog wrong. The wonderful lady I spoke to said that my four days of tickets were just fine
So I'm keeping my Planet Hollywood reservation. The main reason I have that one is because of the meal voucher that you get with the Magic Your Way package. Since I'm the only one in my room, I won't be using the mini-golf voucher, so I may as well use that one
I'm just planning on getting something cheap so that I won't have to pay too much over the voucher value. Like a cheeseburger and milkshake or something.
I
also called my mom and told her about the free dining plan. They're due home in about seven hours or so. As I said above, I did the math, and with the free dining plan, if they came down, we'd save enough to almost cover our airfare. So she's going to talk to my dad about it on the drive up. However, I need to get the heck to bed, because I've been up since 5pm yesterday and it's 10:30am now.
I just had to squee about the free dining
