BOG Reservation on MNSSHP Night

We are planning to attend MNSSHP on 9/15. I thought in the past Disney cancelled people's reservations on party nights. I would like to try to get a reservation for 4pm.

Does anybody know if they accept dinner reservations on party nights?

The party doesn;t start until 7PM, so 4pm reservations should be available that day. I would think they would allow reservations right up until party time.

Guests not attending MNSSHP can make reservations inside MK for anytime before 7:00 pm (the start time of the party). ADRs after 7:00 pm require a valid MNSSHP ticket. So, OP, as long as you make your reservation for before 7:00 pm, you'll be fine.

We've had ADRs on party nights as late as 6:50. I think now the latest ADR time is around 6:30. There are definitely ADRs on party nights, but since the slots are so limited, they are extremely hard to get. For our last trip in December, all BOG was booked for our entire week at 180 days. I picked one up later, but it wasn't easy.

If you are planning to use just your party ticket to get into the MK, typically you'll be able to enter starting at 4:00 so I would make a reservation for no earlier than 4:20 to allow time to get through the tapstile, get your wristband and trick or treat bag and walk to BOG without having to worry about being late to the restaurant.

Thanks for all the replies. I hope to get a ressie on an earlier date. I read it's best to try for BOG near then end of your trip but that puts me on the only MNSSHP while we are there.

To add on to what PPs have said, just be mindful that if you don't have a party ticket for that night, they will escort you out from your restaurant until the exit.
They're very nice while at it, tbh but if you do get that one reservation, make sure to align your kid's expectations.

The only time I was able to get BOG was for the last night of our trip, 10/25 at 4:55. We usually only take about an hour to eat at a sit-down meal so I'm hoping to be out of the restaurant around 6. Will my party still be escorted out that early? We will be heading out as soon as we're done, but if my kids want to stop in the Emporium or if we want to take any final pictures on the way out, I'm afraid we'll encounter pushy CMs trying to clear the park. I'm in no way trying to sneak into MNSSHP as we'll have attended the previous Tuesday, I was just hoping to be able to take our time a bit on our last walk out of MK...I'll already be emotional about leaving, I don't need someone corralling us to the exit like cattle :rotfl:

No. The party doesn't start until 7:00, hence they don't start escorting guests until 7:00. If you're done by 6:00, you'll still have an hour to shop and do some rides. You might be "reminded" by CMs that the park closes at 7:00, which gets annoying after you've heard it 70 times, but you won't be escorted out.

Thank you for the clarification!

You know darn well that if it was just 69x people would be all 'oh really? I didn't know' come 7:15p!

I know, right? :P

A couple of years ago we had BOG on a party night, but weren't going to the party that night, so we were held in the courtyard while a few other families without tickets gathered so we could all be escorted together. One woman got totally belligerent when they told her she had to stay in the courtyard so they could escort her out since she didn't have a party ticket. She literally stomped, hollered, that they weren't trying to get into the party for free, they just wanted to leave the park and not be escorted out like criminals. As we were all being escorted out (there were four families being led by one CM, so probably about 20 guests in our group), when we hit the Hub it was super crowded and the CM lost track of a few of the people in our group in the crowds. We were right next to the "we're not criminals!" lady, and I heard her say, "Here's our chance" and they broke off from the group and cut toward Adventureland. The CM just let them go, knowing that they'd be caught at the checkpoint to Adventureland. Thou doth protest too much, indeed.

The only issue you might have is if your meal takes longer than anticipated. At 7:00 pm, they will no longer allow guests wearing wristbands to enter the Emporium and a bit after that they will start setting up check points within the store and you cannot move back up the store without a wristband. So make sure you get into the Emporium before 7:00 pm.

Thank you for the info! I'm just trying to prepare for every possible situation lol

That is an awesome story. We are only planning on going to MK on nights we already have party tickets. We were told a a few years ago when we went that we can wristbands at different parts in the park... Unfortunately we were back by pirates league and NO ONE knew where these places suposidly were. We had to go alll the way up to the front gate to get our bracelets! This year we are leaving MK going to get ready and then going back. If we get there a few mins before 4 do you think they will still give us our bracelets? I mean we'll already have passes so its not about getting in... I just don't want to have to come back up to the gate later! lol

I doubt it, but it depends on the set-up. In the past, they had specific ticket entrances for guests with MNSSHP tickets. You used one of those and then they gave you your bag and wristband. So, it all depends on when the system will start allowing them to scan MNSSHP tickets. If it's only a few minutes of 4:00 pm, there is chance your clocks will be slow or theirs will be fast and it'll work out, but you might have to hang out at the entrance for a few minutes to let the system roll to 4:00 pm.

In terms of the wristband distribution points, they did have them scattered in the park last year (2014). There was one in Tomorrowland and at Tortuga Tavern. I think there might have been a few others (maybe in FL, but I can't remember for sure). If you're going to the first party of the year, you'll have to find a CM to help you find them wristband locations, but if you're going to one of the later MNSSHP, you can ask here on the Disboard about the in-park wristband distribution locations and someone is bound to know.

The CMs with the wristbands usually get in place a little before 4:00, so you should be fine. If not, there really are lots of CMs around the park with them...I can't believe those CMs sent you all the way back to the entrance!
