Are you guys planning on doing HHN as well?

I thought about HHN, I don't think we will be. We followed their coverage of last year's event, and I decided pretty early on that it was FAR too scary for me. I don't like people jumping out at me, and I have a bit of an eidetic memory, seeing something once that scares me will give me vivid nightmares for weeks (DH once persuaded me to go to see "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" and I had nightmares for a month)!

I suggested that DH go there if he wanted to, and I do a second night at MNSSHP (much more my level of scary!! ), but after looking on Youtube and the Universal HHN site last Halloween, he decided he wasn't that interested. We may well do a second MNSSHP though!

Have you got your dancing shoes ready?! Because this weekend it will be time to break out...

The DOUBLE DIGIT DANCE!! Woohoo!! So excited. So much saving to do! Actually we are pretty much on track, the holiday and all the extras (Universal tickets, etc) are paid for in full, so now it's just time to save up some dollars and away we go!

All the serious stuff is pretty much ready, our holiday is synced up to the My Disney Experience app, so I have been able to customise our Magic Bands, even though they won't be posted to us as we're in the UK.

DH was so excited to be able to personalise his band! Then I told him he only got 9 characters, so no, he could not have his name written as "Grand Destroyer Of Worlds". He was a little less excited then.

I'm so excited to get to Disney, I've even packed my case! Well, not really. But all the things I have bought for the trip and want to keep nice and new until then are in DH's new case ready to go up in the attic out of the way.

Who'd like a Disney Clothes Haul? You're getting one anyway, so hopefully the answer was "ME!".

Disney Store in the UK is a bit pricey, so I prefer to get licensed stuff from other shops, namely Primark, where Disney T-shirts are £5-6. Please excuse the creases! I'm not ironing them all to put them away, only to have to iron them again before we go!

Yes...I know it will probably be too warm in Florida for this one! I was in October Shopping Mode, which for here means sweatshirts!

And some non-Disney bits and pieces.

These are pyjama bottoms, but they were so cute I had to buy them!

I have a red T-shirt to put white "Lilo flowers/leaves" on, so this will go with that outfit! I love the bit where she runs up the beach and snaps a pic of the tourist!

I LOVE this. DH and I both have one. They have a regular drink bottle nozzle, but they also have a spritzer as well, so you can cool off with a little spray of water!

OMG I love your little mermaid shirt...so awesome!!! Disney store isn't cheap in Canada either...I am planning to look for stuff in the US at the department stores before our trip too. I love your spider web mickey shirt too - which store was that one from? I would love something like that for MNSSHP!

Thanks! The spider web shirt was from Primark last Halloween. They have lots of Disney stuff in, the trick is getting it in your size! At £6 a shirt (on average) they go pretty quickly! I'm guessing it would be pretty easy to copy the spider web one with a plain shirt and puffy paint.

The Way To A Man's (Disney) Heart...

Tomorrow we can do our online check-in! Yay!! The time has flown, it only seems a few days since we were down to double digits, and now we're down to a couple of months!

So far, all the trip planning has been me, me, me. Which is actually rather nice, DH has his input on the hotel and the "sensible stuff" like cars and flights and finances, and I get to have fun with the purely Disney stuff.

I was struggling to make any ADRs, in fact until a week or so ago all we had was T-Rex at 9:30pm on the day we land. Hardly ideal, considering that to our poor systems that would be 2:30am!! This week we have a few days off work so this afternoon I was showing DH the dining section on Disney.com, reading menus, looking at the new places in DTD, and filling the Wish List with places. If there's one way to get him interested in something, it's food! I was bemoaning the lack of ADRs I managed to find. Well, wouldn't you know it, give DH my laptop for 45mins, and we have new ADR reservations!

Our reservations now look like:

Mon 5th - Planet Hollywood - 7:45pm

Tues 6th - Crystal Palace - 10:35am

Thurs 8th - T-Rex - 12:30pm

Sat 10th - Chef Mickey's - 12:55pm

Mon 12th - IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party - 8pm

Tues 13th - Beaches and Cream - 4pm

Fri 16th - Be Our Guest - 5:55pm

Great work DH! I wish I'd set him on to this sooner! I still want to try and get a Wishes Dessert Party (DH is a picky eater but LOVES dessert, so these are a nice easy option!), but because of MNSSHP there are even less nights than usual. I don't seem to stand a chance! I will keep trying though! Wishes is my favourite firework show.

We still need to book our MNSSHP tickets, and tickets for the Tampa Bay Lightning game we plan to go to. Apart from that it's just FP+ bookings tomorrow, and we're done!

I have a list of FP+s that we'd like, now I just have to try and get them tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Just a quick update...HOW is it time for the Single-Digit Dance already?!!

How was it 90 days ago that I was going wild because we could do the Double-Digit Dance?!

We have now officially booked our tickets for the MNSSHP!! We will be at the party on October 6th, and are also booked in for the Hallowishes Dessert Party. If we don't get to do all of the party that night because we are at the Hallowishes party, we still have our second week to book another one, assuming there are tickets available! I want to do the Meet and Greets and dance parties, and DH really wants to trick or treat (go figure!!), so I'm guessing that we will be going a second time (Disclaimer: If you take issue with irresponsible "fun" spending, my TR will not be for you! We saved for three years, so that we can spend in Disney like we would never dream of spending at home!).

We are both VERY excited that Jock Lindsey's will be open when we are in WDW!!! DH has been following the progress of the bar online (I am LOVING how into the planning/prep he is this time around. It's much more fun with two!), and has said all along that he hoped it would be open when we were there, even if it was just for a couple of days. Lucky us, it will be open for our entire trip!! I'm not over-keen on the look of the menu, food-wise, but I'm sure we will be dropping in for cocktails on a couple of evenings, they look divine! They also have souvenir glasses which are my big weakness!

Preparations are going well, I have decorations for our room:

I plan on cutting up one of the stars to give the little ghosts Mickey ears somehow!

This is SOOOO sparkly...The photo really doesn't do it justice! Super glittery, I love it.

I am also making (hopefully! If it works out) a Mickey wreath like the ones on the lamp posts at WDW, with the Mickey pumpkin face and leaves. I got this mould with my Disney Cakes & Sweets Halloween Special last year, and have been saving it ever since!!

First layer done (excuse the mess surrounding the crafts! I clean as I go so the Dyson was out to get any stray paper and flour!!).

Monday is my day off and will be my Craft Day, I need to work on Mickey, and make DH's costume. Do you want a clue? I still need to buy a single, white, child-sized sock...Any guesses?

Tonight/tomorrow we are making packing/To Do/shopping lists. I love lists! Following them is another matter, however!

I will hopefully get a couple more progress reports up before we fly.

I can't believe how soon that is!!

Thank you! I guess that sounded a bit of a strange thing to say...We have had some negative/questioning comments IRL so it's made me feel a bit on edge about the whole thing! I should have known DIS people would understand though!

Well, we did it! We booked our second MNSSHP! We will now be at the parties on October 6th (Hallowishes Dessert Party) and 16th. My DH will get to do his trick or treating, and I'm super excited as on the 16th we have a BOG reservation for 5:55pm. I will get to eat in Beast's castle, dressed as Belle!!

I still have so much to do, I can't believe I only have two more days at work, and two days off work, and then we fly! We haven't even started packing yet!
