you have more courage then me!!!! Good for you
I did this through Ebay and that's what's got me a little worried! We stayed at Kidani last Febraury as a free upgrade and were completely spoiled, can't even bear the thought I'd any other resort.
I did mine on eBay
Sorry but no you are not. Paypal actually does not even allow timeshare rentals per their terms, which basically means they will not back you in a dispute.
You might be covered by a credit card. Does the seller allow you to talk to them by phone?
Are they asking for a $95 fee.
Oh, I didn't know paypal doesn't allow this, that is good information to know.
Yep per their website: Timeshare transactions -- offers to buy, sell, or rent rights to the periodic use of a property. A timeshare is real estate that is jointly owned by people who share the right to use the property and take turns using it.
Paypal is more of a convenience than a safe guard. Also something to always watch for is, if someone is offering a great deal over what most everyone else is offering.
$12-$13 per point for a rental is the norm, anything greatly less, I would be asking why?
Thanks for the input! I paid $1135 for 5 nights savannah view studio. Not sure how that figures points wise, I can't figure out the points calculatorýýbut it came out to $227 per night which to me was a pretty good deal. I wasn't asked to pay $95 and like I mentioned before he had many recent transactions with great feedback. When he gives me the reservation number can't I call Disney to confirm?
Sorry to hijack this for a moment, but curious as to why anyone asking for a $95 fee is not legit. We trade in through RCI and have to pay a $95 fee to Disney upon check in, so why would it be unreasonable if someone was renting their RCI transaction?
Sammie said:No you can't call. With DVC reservations you can't contact Member Services. The member owns the reservation until you check in.
You can go online and confirm it after you get the reservation number at mydisneyreservation.com
