Biggest waste of time?

I probably wouldn't do Palo brunch again. Between the upcharge + tip, missing the breakfast and lunch buffets at Cabanas, and the fact that the last time a server walked around with each of us and insisted on getting our food from the buffet, the magic is gone and it is no longer worth it to me.

Also, dinner at Remy. We did it once on the Fantasy. I loved the atmosphere, but the upcharge was significant and I didn't care for anything I ate. I would have been happier getting chicken fingers on deck.

And others have mentioned Pirate Night. I agree. We always go to Palo for dinner on that night.

But the biggest waste of time was waiting in line during peak times for the AquaDuck. My advice: if it is longer than 15-20 minutes, skip it and come back later.

The food was great but I found Remy to be a huge time waster. I had to be rolled out of the place because I was stuffed. It was well worth doing at least once but 3.5 hours of dinner was just too much for me. :flower1::snail: The drive to Florida is also a huge time waster. It is a long drive when you want to get there soon!:drive:

I think there is already enough Frozen, but I am glad to see something replacing Toy Story. I think it's the weakest show in any of the ships.
I don't think it was the weakest, I just think it's bad. I think the weakest is Villains Tonight, but I can stomach it better than Toy Story. Also not too impressed with Believe, I find the storyline weak, but I like all the segments highlighting the various Disney shows.

Bingo. Expensive and not at all what we expected! This was quite serious stuff.. No laughing allowed!

I agree Pirate night. We book Palo for that night. Frightful menu.

The rest is all good!

Now, see, I like the Pirate menu. :goodvibes

We like the pirate menu as well...I don't understand people's dislike of it!

Biggest waste for us was the Discover Atlantis tour. Waste of time and money, IMO. The place was dirty, smelled like a dirty alley, and definitely did not live up to its hype. Would much rather have stayed on ship which is what we normally do when we are at Nassau, we just wanted to try something different this time. Wish we hadn't and saved our money!

The Pirate menu is our favorite! I think part of the dislike for it comes from various social media forums. I've seen quite a few posts from first time cruisers asking when to schedule Palo or Remy dinner and a lot of the replies are for Pirate night because of the menu.

I was unimpressed with Palo. It didn't hold a candle to so many of the restaurants we can go to back home.

I agree! I like it BETTER than some of the rotational menus. I'm seriously debating (still an option at this point, we shall see when Wednesday hits and I can make the change and pay the remainder of the deposit) moving my parents and me into a 1-Bedrrom on our upcoming Magic cruise not because we really need most of the concierge stuff, but because THEY should know when Pirate Night is and be able to schedule us for Palo dinner on the night we'd have the rotational menu in whatever dining room we'll have for Pirate Night.

It's a one-off itinerary per the DCL Blog - the Miami-Castaway Cay-Key West-Sea-Miami, so looking at past Navigators is NOT helpful for figuring this out.

the glass bottom boat excursion at castaway cay, we missed out on a lot of prime beach time on the crappy cramped boat with foggy green windows that are hard to see out of

Time waiting in port after drop off by Disney transport. Miami port terminal wasn't even open when we arrived, then more waiting inside.

Just wanted to board! (Also music was loud...)
:maleficen

Remy bunch, loved both dinners I have had here on two different cruises, but I was not a fan of the brunch. I also had to miss Palo brunch to do this and for me I prefer Palo for brunch over Remy. I'm glad I tried it but won't be doing it again.

Can you remember if you can gamble at the Atlantis just being a cruiser?

I was in Nassau for a business meeting earlier this year. We were not staying at Atlantis, but some of my associates went over to the casino to gamble. There was no requirement that you were staying at Atlantis in order to use the casino.

Pirate night show is a big waste of time for us, although my son and I like the fireworks a lot. My daughter is not into the crowds and doesn't go to them and my husband is neutral so it is usally just my son and I.
We did the buffet twice because the first time we actually found it was by mistake when we took a shortcut after the fireworks. (we thought it would be a shortcut...oops) We had late seating for dinner and just did not have room to eat any more. So the very next cruise we did not even go to dinner and checked out the buffet instead. lol (another oops)
I love the taco bar and baked potatos, but that was about it. :) Next cruise we are going to have our regular dinner and just bypass the buffet and hit the fireworks only.
The actual pirate night menu is okay, but that is usually the night I opt for the basic steak and baked potato...oh and the cornbread is quite good. The pirate menu could use some adjustments though. Some new flair would be good.

Any of the deck parties/atrium parties where the entertainment crew dances and the characters come out. We've never enjoyed the crowds and watching people basically good around to loud music.
