Getting off the monorail today at the MK, I couldn't help but notice a big glass (greenish) domed building in the distance.

It looks like it is somewhere directly west of the Fort Wilderness area. I don't think it is a Disney resort...

    Anybody know what this is?

I think you saw Shades of Green Resort. I am pretty sure it is in that area.

I thought Shades of Green was over by the Poly and Grand Floridian. Could it be Bonnet Creek?

Isn't the Wilderness Lodge west of Fort Wilderness,I don't know about the dome thing but the Wilderness Lodge has a green roof and some glass by the back of the lobby.Did you see a lot of wood,if you did then that pretty much has to be it.

I may have my directions mixed, but I thought four seasons is being built within golden oak community, which I thought is east of fort wilderness, not west?

The sun rises in the west and sets in the east, right? :rotfl2:

I should know better than to do anything that requires thought after a day with the Mouse...

I checked out the images on google for "four seasons walt disney world" and indeed that is the Four Seasons Hotel.

Thanks -- and apologies for my confusing sense of direction...

SOG is across the street from the Poly and GF. Also, SOG does't have a dome.

no sun rises in the east and sets in the west.

in florida this is easy - it rises on the ocean side and sets on the gulf side.

still can't tell my right from my left - so definitely understand.

the four season is on the bay lake side of the BLT and CR - where the Polyn, gf and MK are on the Seven Seas lagoon.

Actually, the big green dome would be Gaylord Palms, no? It has a huge glass dome like structure.

now from Pop or Epcot would agree - but from the MK????? don't think so - I have problems seeing the dolphin and swam - unless at CR or BLT higher floors and they are higher.
