Just wondering what your vote would be for the best suites hotel...nicest rooms, pool area, value, etc. Not really interested in HIFS though, I don't care for their room layouts. Thanks.

I loved Comfort Suites Maingate. We went last May and it was wonderful from the GREAT prices (like $55/night) to the free cont. breakfast (w/ so much to choose from). I am thinking about changing this year, as you may see from one of my posts, to another hotel w/in the choice hotels network but, had such a great experience at Comfort that I am a little leary. Our room had 2 full size beds, a pullout sofa, a partial room divider (Quality has a full wall-a little added privacy as my DH will be going this time), fridge, micro, large bathroom, great pool (w/ poolside bar), jacuzzi, great location (Outback Steakhouse across the st.-YUMMY), friendly staff, and transportation. Check out choice-hotels.com and look at the pictures they provide. Good Luck!

disneymommyof3, where is this hotel located? How long did it take you to get to WDW? Was the transportation only at certain times?

I am also considering a suites hotel for our next trip if we decide to stay offsite. I was looking at the Buena Vista Suites but this one looks real interesting!

Best suites hotel? Thats a tough question. Everyone has different standards, tastes and needs. Here are a few suite hotels that cate to all.....

Residence Inn Lake Buena Vista - This is a brand new Caribbean themed suites hotel. They have large suites with full kitchen, a beutifully landscaped courtyard pool and hot breakfast buffet in the morning with cocktail hour & managers reception in the evening. They even provide transportation to all Disney theme parks. Rating: **** Site: http://www.residenceinnlbv.com

Hawthorn Suites Lake Buena Vista - This is also a fairly new hotel located up the street from the Residence Inn. They too offer oversized suites with full kitchen, hot breakfast, managers reception and Disney tranportation. Rating: **** Site: http://www.hawthornsuiteslbv.com

Country Inn & Suites Lake Buena Vista - On a value basis, this is my favorite choice. It is a nice hotel with country charm. They have King suites with microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. The best is they have free high speed internet which is great. They do offer a deluxe continental breakfast in the morning and freshly baked cookies in the evening which is nice. There is also transportation to all disney theme parks. Rating: *** Site: http://www.countryinnlbv.com

Comfort Suites Maingate East - This is located in Kissimmee and is a little over a year old. They are all one bedroom suites with a semi-partition between the sleeping and sitting areas. They have used bright florida colors in the theme of the hotel. The property is located adjacent to Old Town. They do offer a deluxe continental breakfast, disney transportation and reasonable rates. Rating: *** Site: http://www.comfortsuitesfl.com

Caribe Royale - This is a full service resort hotel that is once of the largest "all-suite" hotels in the United States. They do have a great pool area with some type of water slide for the kids with restaurant, and other full-service facilities. Rating: **** Site: http://www.cariberoyale.com

Super 8 Motel Suites - Need to space but want to save? The Super 8 Motel has two-bedroom suites with full kitchen and two seperate bedrooms. The do offer coffee and donuts in the morning. Suites that are newly renovated start at $40-some dollars a night, so that is a steal for accommodations that sleep six! Rating: ** Site: http://www.abcsuites.com

Holiday Inn Family Suites - This is a favorite for kids, although there has been some mixed reviews on customer service. This hotel has numerous themed suites and lots of activities to keep kids entertained and occupied. The pool area is extensive and offers lots to do. Rating: *** Site: http://www.hifamilysuites.com

These are just a few hotels that represent the spectrum in services, amenities, quality and price. There are many suites hotels, that others can contribute about..

Cheers!

The hotel was right off of 192 and about 10 min. from Magic Kingdom. It is located very close to Animal Kingdon. Check out thier website.....very informative. I did not use the transportation because I had 2 small (under 4) children, my mother in law (60's) and 3 other children with me so, the minivan that we rented worked out better for us. Hope this helped. I was actually VERY suprised at the quality esp. for the price. I can't say enough about it. It is also a Gold Medal winner (as per choice hotels). Good Luck!

Thanks disneymommyof3. I'll definitely add this one to my short list. I will also add those that OrlandoInfo contributed. Yikes!!!

Bump for Marriott Residence Inn!
Very close to DTD, newer, great pool, complimentary brekfast buffet, Carribean decor, very large suites and fair rates. 2 Bedroom/2 baths, full kitchen, living room- max. 7 people-May 02 $125/night
Also close to shopping and restaurants on 535- 1 mile, you would enjoy it!:smooth:

I have been seeing this on Expedia for April - May at $55 per night as an Expedia Special. You have to pay upfront but at that rate it seems worth it. We just bought our air tickets for late night on 4/19/02 - early morning on 4/29/02, and we are planning on booking this hotel, in part because of the good reviews I have seen and of course the price.
