Best place for family [of 18!] photo

We are going on DCL to Bahamas in June as a big extended family. My mom wants to get a big family photo of all 18 of us and plans to book an appt with the photographers. I know that many families use the atrium staircase but she would like it done outside. Has anyone taken a LARGE photo outside--like on the promenade deck..? We are open to ideas. She is a big fan of "natural light".

Oh and some of the 18 are small kids BTW.
