best beach excursion in St Maarten

thought I sent this thread before but guess not.

Any beach excursion recommendation for St. Thomas and St. Maarten? Last year (at St. Thomas) we end up in St John but want to try to go to different beach this time.

That's what we did two weeks ago. We took a taxi, $4/person each way. It was nice, quiet and not crowded. It is close to the ship so even in traffic, it's not too bad of a ride. You can rent beach chairs and umbrellas from the resort for $5 each. Watch out for Gizmo the Parrot though....he took a bite out of my husband's flipflop. Beautiful beach and the kids had fun snorkling.
