Has anyone been to the beetlejuice rock and roll review lately? It used to be one of our favorites, but last year when we went it was a little too raunchy for our younger kids. It used to be more subtle, but last year was too overt. Lots of sexual humor. Not that we're that prude, (in fact it was pretty funny ;)) but we don't want to be explaining these things to our kids right now.

I know they they pick new talent and probably tweek the show every year. Has anyone seen it lately who could give us a short review?

We saw it Tuesday and it was very good. My 7 yr old DD enjoyed it and I didn't think it was at all inapropriate(?sp) Bettlejuice it a bit raunchy, but he just is......... Sorry I couldn't be more help, but we loved the show :D

Hey there! I see the Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue every weekend, just about. :)

Yes, the show still has it's "dirty jokes" and such...but some of the Beetlejuice's are worse than others, in that regard (or should I say 'better'? ;)). Even though kids may not understand the jokes and such, as it will most likely just fly over their heads without them giving it a second thought, most kids won't even bother asking "what did he mean." In all seriousness, and as I remember from when I was younger and didn't quite understand these type jokes, I'd laugh along in obliviousness. There was no way I'd admit to not "getting" the jokes which would just prove I was still a child among adults. Does that make sense? I have seen some kids do that now, at the Beetlejuice Show. 5 year olds laughing as hard as adults...just for the mere fact that the adults were laughing at a joke. :p :p :p

Now, maybe there are some kids who would ask questions, but remember, it's a 20 minute show, and the most dirty comments are at the very beginning. Perhaps they'll forget by the end of the show? If they try asking right away, you can just go, "Shh! Don't be rude by talking during the show" ;) :p

At any rate, the show hasn't really changed, but perhaps you'll get a less raunchy BJ next time. If not, your kids have already been exposed to basically the same jokes (with maybe a few minor exceptions).

However, who knows when they'll update the show. You can only wait until then. :)

HTH!

IMO, there are tv shows and comercials that run during "family" hours on tv that are far more explicit than anything you will hear at a Beetlejuice show. I couldn't imagine trying to explain to a kid what viagra is
