So as a family we have been to Disney World atleast 8 times,my first trip was in the early 1990's. We have booked to go to Disney World over Christmas, it will be the first time we have stayed during the Christmas period. I love Disney however as this is coming up to our tenth trip the parents have the attitude where they are not that fussed about trips to disney anymore because they've been there and done it. They are looking for things we haven't seen or done before. Our last trip was in July 2009. So if anyone can post their tips of things to do/ or see that we might not have done before I would very much appreciate it, no matter how big or small the thing is for example one thing I've thought of is apparently there is a room at 1 of the resorts with Walt Disney's train sets in? I'd like to see that. How do we keep the magic alive?

Tour the lobbies of the various resorts. Especially The Grand Floridian with a life sized Gingerbread house.

The Carolwood Pacific room can be found at the Wilderness Lodge Villas.
Touring the campgrounds is also something you can do to see how the other guests have decorated their sites.

After not visiting at Christmas for almost the whole time we've in Florida
(1975), this is now my favorite season at WDW.

I agree with Grumpy175 - the lobbies of various resorts are full of wonderful displays - if you remember the Samantha Brown special some years ago, she visited many of them. In addition to the Gingerbread House at GF there is also the miniature Boardwalk at - well, the Boardwalk. I think it's the Yacht & Beach Club that has the life-sized carousel; I usually guess wrong and have to walk through the resort. Which isn't all bad. All the displays are made primarily from edible ingredients - although that doesn't mean you'd want to eat them and they're safe for the whole season!

An easy way to cover several is to see the monorail resorts, although the Contemporary let us down last year with a really weak display. If you want to drive to some of the others that are less accessible, just tell the guard what you want to do and show a picture ID as usual - they'll direct you to the guest parking.

Thanks for all the replies so far, I'm definitely going to tour the resorts to see the Christmas decorations. Apart from the christmas festivities are there any new things we could do whilst at the World? No matter how big or small

I believe there is a sleigh ride at WL for most nights in Dec. Last trip we did the behind the seeds tour and found that interesting. I too am looking for something new or something we haven't done before. Our anniversary was a few months ago and I got my DH the Richard Petty driving experience. He really enjoys cars so I thought this would be fun for him. I hope others chime in. Anyway just going at a different time of year can be fun as well.:)

That is what we do - the tours...
407-WDW-TOUR

In Epcot Behind the Seeds tour is very interesting and not that expensive -
They also have the different lands, Father Christmas talks etc
Epcot also has Segway Tours, and I think they have a backstage tour during the holiday season as well

Magic Kingdom has a Walt Disney Tour (you used to end the tour in Fantasyland in Mickey Mouse's House - not sure what it does now)

Animal Kingdom has several special tours (maybe $70 ?)

I read on the restaurant board that they are going to have a lunch with an Animal Kingdom specialist -
