Am I correct that there is no quick service (counter service) at either of these resorts? For those who have stayed there, what do you do if you want a drink or snack? I know the gift shop stocks this stuff, but what about a quick sandwich to go ? thanks!

Recently did a split stay at WL and BC. After being very happy with the choices at WL we were disappointed at BC. The first night we even got room service because we couldn't find much at the Marketplace and we were hungry. The Marketplace is crowded and a part of the gift shop, not a separate restaurant. I recall it having some sandwiches, wraps, salads and grocery items. We did enjoy Cape May for breakfast one morning, and ESPN Club was decent w/o a reservation. Hurricane Hanna by the pool had limited choices, too. Not sure if there are other choices at YC or they have to walk over to BC. Hope this helps.:)

The BC has breakfast pastries, omelette sandwiches, gelato, create your own yogurt, salad, drinks, sweet desserts and lots of bagged snacks that you can find at any gift shop

The omelettes were awful, looked, tasted and felt like a hard sponge.

Here's a link to the BC marketplace menu:

In July I had a fantastic salad made to order there. I got to choose from a bunch of different items to put in my salad. It was the perfect size too. The dressing was also very good.

You could also go to Hurricane Hannah's, here's there menu:

If you want to sit down for a quick bite you could also go to Beaches and Cream. Over at the YC there are 2 restaurants, no counter service option. Also at the BC is Cape May buffet , but no "real" counter service. You could also walk over to the BW and eat from one of the carts(Boardwalk to go) or the pizza window. Here are the menus:

Oh, there is also the BW bakery that has some sandwiches. Here's that menu:

Oh, this is the ONE thing I hate about the YC/BC!!! :sad1: The quick service food is lousy!! I don't understand why???:confused3

We will be bringing back food from Epcot, usually a combo platter from Mexico :) to munch on. My boys love the pizza window at the Boardwalk. We'll also be grabbing breakfast pastries at the Boardwalk Bakery using our snack credits.

I think if you plan ahead, you'll be fine. Can't tell you how much food I've packed into our stroller basket before!! :rotfl2:

Yep, that is correct. This is the very reason I will never go back to the YC or BC. Well, and that the transportation service there is TERRIBLE!!!
