baked broccoli in crock pot?

Happy Thanksgiving! I am bringing baked broccoli for dinner tonight (broccoli, butter, Velveeta, and Ritz crackers). Do you think I could cook this in the crock pot then just brown the crackers in the oven? It would be a lot easier to fix and forget it and keep it hot before dinner. I've never put broccoli in the CP before!

I put broccoli in the crock pot once... big mistake. The smell was so awful that I had to air out the whole house and I couldn't even eat what was cooked because of the smell.

Not sure how you feel about smells and the smell of broccoli but that was my experience
