Has anyone done the aquaventure in Atlantis? Is it worth the money?

Our family of 5 loved the Aquaventure at Atlantis. For years, we had known several families that spent multiple days at Atlantis and loved it for a variety of reasons so getting to Nassau and going to the Atlantis was on our list. The day trip is very organized and if your family enjoys a really fun water park with an incredibly fun (for all ages) not so lazy river, you will definitely not be disappointed. Plus, you have complete access to the resort so if you want to go lay out on the beach or even go hang out in the casino (very Vegas-like) you will not be disappointed. However, we went for the fun of the water park and while some of the attractions are pretty intense, there is something for all ages. Our 3 daughters really enjoyed the water attractions and also the underwater marine adventure is pretty neat to explore as well. While the day trip may seem a little pricey, I will tell you that after spending a day at Atlantis we would definitely recommend it.

This is great to hear. I booked this excursion for our 4 night Dream cruise in May and was hoping that it would be a worth while expense.

My husband, his sister and I went in May 2012, and we really enjoyed it. The slides are great, but the best part is definitely the not-so-lazy river. There are also several nice marine life exhibits if you take the time to go see them. We would definitely do it again.

Yep we loved it too! We went with my mother-in-law and our 2 kids (10 and 7 at the time) and we all had a blast. My mother-in-law enjoyed sitting by the pool with a good book and pina colada while the kids, hubby and I enjoyed the 'not so lazy' river. It is NOT lazy... lots of fun for adventurous kids.

We also enjoyed the grounds and the aquarium... it's not spectacular but the kids thought it was cool.

It's pricey but we had a lot of fun and LOVED the day so much we actually considered going to Atlantis for a week when we came back from our Disney cruise... but we quickly scrapped that and decided on another Disney cruise instead!

Been there, Done that - Had a Great Time - Would NOT do it again - it's too expensive for me to justify going there again. Now if I were vacationing at the Atlantis, I would be at the water park every day.

We are going back to Cozumel on the Wonder this spring - and we are going back to XPLOR Park for a second visit - and it costs about $60 / person more than Atlantis Aquaventure ... so for us its not totally about the money - its about the experience.

WDW and Central Florida have a myriad of water parks with rides as wild (and more so) as Atlantis. XPLOR has the best zip lining that we have experienced (Idaho, Vancouver, Ketchikan, Puerto Vallarta...)
