I am back from my 3/02 wonder cruise.. sorry I didn't get to the Dis meeting on the first day, but I lost track of time after a few Bahama mamas!

Had an awesome time.. Great weather.. great service... AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME.

Had a lot of new experiences, and a lot of highlights.. my two biggest highlights..

THe Art of the Theme tour on the Disney Wonder... GREAT tour and it was FREE and with a real live Imagineer, must be something they just started on the Magic, but this sailing of the Wonder was the first tour on the ship, and it was so cool to hear the whys and cool stories, and see the ship at a whole new perspective..

Next big highlight, Dino and Danny... Especially Danny.. What a cutie... They were awesome, and only there for 3 more weeks!!

Any questions? Feel free to ask! I am working on my trip reports, got the first day up if you wanna check it out on the trip report boards!

Ask away!

I was on the same trip - my first cruise ever. We all loved it, 2 daughter 8 and 6 my wife, her parents and me.

This will NOT be our last Disney Cruise. It was truly better than advertised

Who were Dino and Danny? We are going to be on the Wonder in 15 days! We've been on the Magic before and looking foward to the Wonder. Do you stop in Freeport or was it your day at sea? What movies are playing on board? Did you go on any excursion? What?

Thanks,
Suzanne :jester:

I'm guessing Dino and Danny are the dueling pianos guys - so I guess that's who'll be on our 3/16 cruise.

Yup, Dino and Danny are the dueling piano guys, and they are AWESOME!! If you have kids, I especially reccommend going to at least one of their family dueling piano shows.

My cruise was with a day at sea, I personally like the day at sea better, I have done the Freeport 4 day once, and it was okay, but I would rather be out at sea, since I always enjoy the ship more then the 4 day ports of call (Castaway excluded of course).

I didn't do an excursion, we shopped Nassau for about an hour.. about all any person can tolerate of the downtown area, and then we took a cab to Atlantis and did the casino for a few hours. I am not a big gambler, just take 20 bucks and play the nickel slots. I did win 50 bucks in the nickel slots though, so that was cool.

I don't really do excursions, at least not on the 4 day. I just enjoy the ship way too much, and with 4 days, I wanna concentrate on the Wonder. I'm single, no kids, and usually travel with friends, so we are just content hanging out at the pool or in the awesome rainforest room at the spa!

You'll have a ton of fun, I am jealous. I am already planning my next cruise, probably 6/1 but have to book it still!

That sounds great... was the tour only once? Which day? I want to make a note to myself not to miss it.

Apparently it's something fairly new, and they have done it on the Magic, and the 3/2 sailing of the Wonder was the first time they had done it on the ship. The people at guest services said it was still in the trial stages, so not sure what they have planned for it (ie. will it happen on each sailing, will there be a fee?).

You did have to make ressie's for it, and they put a notice in the Nassau navigator, as well as the Castaway navigator. You went to Guest services and they printed out tickets for it.

The tour itself was on the Castaway day, but it was at 4:30, so buy then everyone is pretty much back on the ship. It was informal, didn't have to dress up, and it started at Palo, and worked it's way down to the atrium. It was about a hour long, and super interesting and informative. I was so excited to get to do it. I hope they have it during future cruises. I noticed a few new and interesting activities on this past 4 day, like this tour, and another behind the scenes presentation with the same imagineer (that was during the day at sea, in the Buena Vista Theater), and an ice sculpting demonstration. Just different activities, I had never seen on a 4 day before. So now there is even MORE to do!

I was on that cruise also and it was terrific! I'll post a report later, but seriously, I've done 4 cruises now (RCCL and Princess) and this was my first Disney cruise. Loved it!

Sorry I didn't make it at 3:15 lost track of time.

We enjoyed our self also.

I was a little dissappointed with the kids club. My kids didn't like it at all. I felt sorry for them. they said it way to babyish for them.

The are 5 and 7. They went a couple of different times and still didn't like it.

We were only sick the frist night at dinner.

We would go again.

Sharon -
That's too bad your kids didn't like the clubs. My 5 and 7 yr olds really liked it - they complained when we came to take them. Did they do the stuff in the Lab? Mine especially liked that.

Sorry we missed you at the 3:15 meet. There were 5 families, I think, that met. It was nice to see someone I knew around the ship after that. We were standing in line in the terminal right next to the Zurgs so we got to meet them early.

I wanted to head right back on the ship when we got off. It was the best vacation ever.

We saw Dino and Danny at the family dueling pianos - they were a hoot!

My only complaint is that there is SO much to do, it's hard to decide what to do! Oh - and they had a problem getting the Jungle Book 2 movie going - took about 1/2 hour to get it working - oh well - nothing to keep me from going back.

We also just took a cab to Atlantis - no casino though with the kids, other than walking through it. The Dig was incredible - kids loved that. Even if it was pricey. We liked doing it on our own at our own pace.

Georgianne

Georgianne,

We were in Jungle Book 2 waiting for it to start. I think we saw all the movies except Treasure planet. We saw all the shows too, loved Hercules.

The kids made the Flubber in the lab, (that was the only thing they liked) They really just wanted to play on the computers. The other room was babyish I thought for 5 and 7 year olds. Matthew did the private dress up over there.

It wouldn't keep me from going again, I enjoy begin with the kids.

Food was great!!!
