We stayed at Old Key West from 8/23-31. We loved OKW (first time there) and had a great trip!
We had no issues with line cutters
There was only 1 incident with flash photography (on Spaceship Earth)
When asked to keep moving in the Philharmagic theater - everyone did
Smokers stayed in the smoking areas
CMs everywhere were nothing but friendly and helpful. We talked to so many and every single one said they loved working for Disney. Quite a few were former College Program CMs who stayed on.
It rained but didn't affect our plans at all
La Nouba was phenomenal - see it if you have the chance!
We had only 1 problem with bus transportation (and unfortunately it was on the day my kids had an archery lesson - which we arrived too late for) but otherwise buses were timely.
We met the chefs in all the places we ate (dd has food allergies) and had some really nice meals. I especially enjoyed Citricos although it's not worth the price.
For the most part we had truly free dining - between Disney Visa rewards (dh uses it for business), a gift card, and money earned from panel surveys - we paid oop for a few counter service meals and the rest was free!
The only sad part of the trip was our Typhoon Lagoon day. A man suffered an event (seizure, heart attack, stroke - we don't know). The staff at TL responded immediately and worked on him tirelessly until the paramedics arrived. I sincerely hope he was OK after he left.
Some days crowds were nonexistent, some days they were higher than predicted. I used Touring Plans and Easy WDW to choose my park days prior and they were a little off, but I think that was due to Isaac. (I used to be a die hard Tour Guide Mike fan - that party's OVER.) We also used the Lines app and it was helpful while we were in the parks.
So there you have it. Another great trip filled with many new memories!
