So how was the wedding? Details?!?!:D

I had a phone call from DCL's wedding coordinator on the Friday before we left, telling me that the Capt had made the decision to sail on Sunday, and go to Castaway Cay 1st thing, on Monday, instead of Tuesday, in order to be ahead of the storm. This was not a problem with us at all, we were just glad that we were going to have the beach wedding.
I guess we had enough prayers going, because we had absolutely perfect weather.
Pretty much as soon as we got on the ship and had had our lunch, I met with the onboard wedding coordinator and went over all of the details of how we wanted the ceremony to go (We had decided to have the guys and girls walk down the aisle in the traditional manner...we were told that usually the party is standing up front waiting for the bride) and we went over details of the reception. Megan and Peter and his mom and I then went back into the terminal so that they could have a civil ceremony in the U.S. It seemed weird to leave the ship so soon after boarding and go into the empty terminal. The civil ceremony had a really nice "fairy tale" reading.
Monday a.m., while the girls got their hair done (they did a beautiful job at the salon) I went up to Palo to help decorate (with wet hair!) Dragan at Palo was an absolute love! He took care of every detail as if it were his own wedding!
The tram took everyone (17 in all) over to Heads Up, and my dad (who escorted Megan) and Megan and I waited in my room for Brent to come and get us. They took us over in a decorated golf cart (darling)...it was like being in a parade. Once we arrived, they started the music (keyboard...he'd been playing while everyone waited) and the wedding proceeded just like any traditional wedding. I proceeded to cry hysterically....half from seeing my first baby walk down the aisle, half from exhaustion. We faced the Administrator of the Bahamas, also a Baptist minister, who did a very prayerful service, and whose voice and accent made it seem even more magical. To see the ocean and the Wonder in the background and the beautiful blue sky was indescribable. After the ceremony, the photographer took Megan & Pete all around the ship for photos while we waited at Palo and had ice water and visited, took pictures of the cake and decorations. DCL also took my decorations to the ceremony and put them up. The cake was stunning & delicious. They saved the top and served it with our other desserts at dinner at Palo later in the cruise. We had champagne, sparkling cider & cake. We were treated like royalty for the entire cruise. None of us had ever felt so special. After the ceremony we had lunch at Parrot Cay, got into our swimsuits, and still had plenty of time to enjoy CC. It actually worked out really well that the wedding was moved up a day, because we all got to relax afterwards and just enjoy our cruise. Turned out, the storm missed us completely, our Nassau day was gorgeous, not even too hot, the evenings were perfect. Our last night, we followed the storm, so we were rocking A LOT, but none of us got sick, and the 12 ft waves were pretty fun to watch. The Honeymooners are having a great time at the Parks right now, staying at AKL Savannah view, and seeing lots of animals. How lucky they are!!
Hey, TexasGirl!! Hi Feenie!! We didn't see much of anyone either! #1 Mouse & Scrappy were on the Catamaran with us, and I saw Susan alot, only ran into Fireplug again at the airport.
I have a lot of pictures in my computer already, but someone needs to tell me how to post them! BTW, DCL's pics were great!! I'm off for now, this turned in to a trip report, sorry!
More questions? Stacey
