Meet "Autonomous"!

As it is: the monorail just runs in a loop until "the big hand" slides the switch to Off.

As it can be: Who wouldn't rather have the monorail smoothly start and stop at stations, play messages upon leaving the station, and turn the lights on and off? And who wouldn't like all this at much lower cost than radio control? Now there is "autonomous".

Small magnets underneath the beam let the two onboard microprocessors know where the monorail is so they can control all the electrics in sync. Although my test model is a Disney monorail the system would work on any battery powered model that runs on a track (where we can embed magnets). The small pieces of blue tape show where the magnets are located.
