Aulani: Is the Marriott turned Four Seasons open and can you walk

by at the beach to get to Paradise Cove? We didn't make it over there last time. And just now when booking the spa the CM on the phone warned me of possible construction noise.
Just wondering if anything is open there (restaurants) and if can still get to the cove (and if so does it need to be by the street)

It is still under construction as of a few weeks ago. We walked along the street both times.

Just left yesterday after a two week stay. You have to use the street to get there as the beach route is closed off.

The Four Seasons website says it is opening early 2016 but they are not taking reservations yet. So I would say construction will continue for a number of months. Once they move indoors it won't affect Aulani at all.

When we were there in March construction had started and we were still able to walk the beach route to paradise cove. We did the street on the way back.

just back last week. Not the ideal but you actually can walk on the rocks that surround the Four season construction fences to get to the small cove and then to Paradise cove - we did it. There was lots of outside work at Fours Seasons - excavators, jack hammers etc. It was noticeable but not preoccupying in any way.
