So tell me about using DVC points to book a Standard Hotel Room. Less points! But where are the rooms located? Is there a map somewhere to show the location of these to see if they are worth saving points over? Is there anything about them that makes it worth spending an extra few points per night for a Standard Studio?

There are only 8 total of the hotel rooms and they are very difficult to get in normal times.

If you are booking at 7 months, the Standard Studio can also be difficult. There are fewer than 40 total of them.

It's available right now for the dates I want. Do you happen to know where they are located? Or is it just 8 hotel rooms somewhere each night?

Where did you find the information? Also interested in where they are located and what views you get from these rooms.

Somewhere on here, there is map, but what Boardwalkin said, they overlook the walkway to the parking lot. The positive, besides the points savings, is they are close to the lobby!

I am curious about the hotel room option. Do they just differ from a DVC studio in that they don’t have a kitchenette?

We found food to be so expensive in Hawaii it was nice to have breakfast and lunch in our room if we were not out exploring and then dining out for dinner.

We stayed in a Standard Hotel Room on rented points July 27-July 2. We were very happy with our room. No, it didn’t have an ocean view but our “jungle” view was perfect for us. We were in room 531, just down from the ice room and elevators. No neighbors to the left and adjoining room to the right was quiet as a mouse. Yes it was the 5th floor but only the 3rd if you had to leave via the balcony. Here are a few pics
