Aulani's highest demand times of the year are Christmas week and the period beginning about the second week of June and ending July 5. For 2016 at 7 months out, most everything including OV rooms had issues many days during that period at 7 months out. After July 5 and continuing until Aug, OV view was open the entire time, and even pool and island garden view were open most of the time. Beginning in August, things became tighter but OV view remained open until August 10 when it started having some issues and during the period August 13 to 27, OV was usually difficult to get. Thereafter, through end of Sep, OV and, usually even island garden and pool view, were open at 7 months out.

Before 2016, most of June was choice season and late June to Labor Day was magic season. June after first week through July 5 was very high demand time (and still is) because most of June was low cost and because late June to July 5 was holiday time. July 6 to late August was fairly high with OV being open about 60% of the time, but pool and island garden view usually having difficulties, although you could sometimes find one of those open and not the other.

Effective 2016, major point shifting occurred at Aulani. Most of June remained choice season and August 15 to Labor Day remained magic season. But late June to August 14 became the highest point cost, premiere season. That changed booking patterns with demand for the already high demand three weeks of June (still in choice season) seeing an increase as well as the last two weeks of Aug. For some reason, the first two weeks of Aug maintained about the same demand as it had before but July 6 to end of July saw a decrease in demand.
