We are considering a trip to Universal the last week of August or the 1st week of September. What are the crowds like then?

low crowds.

it's value season those weeks at the onsite hotels.

September is a great time to visit the parks!!

Yes...it's still hurricane season and it's still hot and humid...just remember that.

i'm in the north.
last year we only had 3 - 90 degree days.
our summer was a bust with temps in the 70's most of the time.

i loved being in the hot weather when i went last year at the end of september.

That's when we're sick of it down here. After the cold fronts stop visiting, it will get warm but in the summer and into early fall, it can get down right nasty here.

Crowds are thinning in late Aug/early Sept. 30min waits are still very common. After Labor Day, the crowds disappear.
