I haven't seen an "official August 2012" thread, so I decided to post one! We are in for a looong wait, but you can never start planning too early, RIGHT??? I am very excited for this trip because it will just be my daughter and I. The other two times we have gone, there have been a ton of people with us. It is going to be so nice to just do whatever we want to do without having to worry about everyone else. We are going Aug 15-24 and will PROBABLY be staying at POP. I would really like to stay at the new Arts Of Animation, but from what I have read so far, I don't think the rooms will be available yet.

Who's with me??? Any other DISers out there going to brave the sweltering (for us Northerners, it will be sweltering, lol) August heat?

I'm so excited to find this thread! I am planning our trip for Aug 17th-24th, 2012. I am driving my husband nuts because I keep talking about it, but haven't actually booked anything yet. But I am still kinda hoping that Disney does what they did last year and put out some deals for extended dates through 2012. We haven't been to Disney in 2 yrs and all of us (me, DH, DS (6), DD (4) and DD (3)) are so ready to go!

After much debate on when to go, we will be going next August (25th thru 9/3).

I am planning a trip for myself, DD1 (4yo at time), DD2 (17mo at time), my sister and niece (14yo at time). This will be my sister, niece and DD2's first trip. I am so excited I can't even stand it.

It will be nice to chat with others traveling next summer cause my DBF will most definitely not want to hear me talking about it all the time.

I can officially start planning our next WDW trip We are going the second week of August 2012. It will be the 4 of us, my in laws and my dd friend.

I know we will be doing lunch at the castle again...(did it in 2010 and was the best part of our trip!)

We will be going to all 4 parks (never been to Epcot or Animal Kingdom)

Forgot to say where we are staying...

Really want to stay at AOA but it's cheaper getting 2 rooms at Pop. So depending on the discount (if any) they come out with, we are leaning currently towards Pop.

Spreadsheets have been started and I am working on a binder.

How is everyone else prepping?

I'm going! We were going to wait til 2013, but decided to go next year instead. This is a big trip with my DH, DD3, DS1 (they'll be 4 and almost 3 when we go), my mom, my dad, my brother, and my sister-in-law. We'll be staying off site at a house in Indian Creek because with our size group, it's MUCH cheaper and with the savings we're staying 10 days instead of 7!

We're starting our trip at the very end of July and going til August 7 or so. We've picked out a house and found someone on the dis that's staying there later this month so we can get a review of it before we book. I've also done the research on ticket pricing and explained that to the rest of my family. Next item will be plane tickets once they're released as we'll be getting most of them with frequent flier miles, so we have to get them early. Yay for Disney!

- want a hopper pass
- want a dining deal

I haven't booked anything yet. Am hoping and waiting on discounts to decide what is best. But we are looking at a suite at Art of Animation or 2 rooms at POP.

I am looking for a great deal for Disney (as we all are), but I am not sure where exactly to find them.
I have heard that getting the dining plan for free is a great deal and that the promo (for Aug. 2012) will come out some time in April. Does anyone know whether this is correct or not? Is the free dining plan the best deal to go with?
How do I get access to these promos? Some people have mentioned pin numbers.... however, I have no idea where to find them. What deals should I be looking for and where can I find them!?

In the time that I have researched Disney (so far), I am leaning toward staying at Art of Animation, but I am also considering POP and All-Star Movies.
