Congrats Heelmd on getting it paid off! Even though by accident! Ha. Ha. I've actually got double deposit $2k on it kind of by accident. We paid deposit for sept 07 cruise. I booked this one separately when i saw spr open paying deposit again. We cancelled sept 07 cruise but didn't have same credit card, so when we transferred new ressie to du, I just had them transfer the old deposit over. I guess I could have then asked them to credit the new card, but I figured, oh well...less to pay later.

I'm jealous with all the disneyworld trips you all are taking! Wish we could afford it this year (i.e. reason we had to cancel sept 07 trip..new baby, new house) Luckily Mom & Dad are paying for St. Lucia! Yeah Mom & Dad!

I can relate...if we make it at Thanksgiving, it will have been 19 MONTHS since we were last at the world :sad2: That seems like FOREVER!! We went last April but did the 7 night Western Disney cruise first and only got in 1 day at the parks before my oldest son was hit with the norovirus and we spent the next 36 hours in our room before flying home.

If Disney does free dining in late summer we may sneak down for a quick 4 day trip to get our fix. Just such a long way for us to fly...just gonna have to move closer :rotfl:

Were on the east coast up here in CT and its a long way from here too,
but a shorter flight.

I drive most of the time, as flying is such a pain.
Take the autotrain down and drive back I could do it in 19 hrs but I spead it across 3 or 4 days and take an easy pace home.

What are secret porthole rooms?

They are "inside" rooms that are priced as category 10 rooms but have the large round porthole windows like the higher priced category 8 and 9's. There is some obstruction in some of them.

Hi, :wave2: We're back! Just finished our 7-nt Eastern, and am going through PCD (post cruise depression) :rotfl2: What better way to get over this than to start overly obsessively planning our next cruises! We re-booked same rooms, etc. on board and saved $300 / room!

To update your list above, we'll also have our youngest DS (will be 10x when we cruise), and I've just realized the eldest will have just turned 13x. We have late seating & have the adjoining SPH's (5522 & 5524)

Congratulations on saving money

Need some advice. We are booked in a secret porthole room (and thrilled). BUT I discovered that there are still secret balcony rooms available for this cruise. The price difference would be about $1,200 more...is it worth it to have the balcony (slightly obstructed but getting a category 6 for category 7 pricing)???

Thanks!

We had a balcony on our last cruise, Loved it.
Its nice being able to get fresh air without having to going up to deck 10 or out on deck 4.

Not sure if its worth 1300 more, it will depend on how much you plan on using it. We love it and are doing it again.
