For those of you who have gone to Atlantis & actually swam do you feel it was worth it. We currently booked a room at the Comfort room for $200 w tax. but now there is a total of 7 of us going & I really don't want to pay for another room just to go swimming there. Please tell me if it's totally worth it to this. Do you think I can get away with just room & still get the wrist bands for the kids? We weill probably not even use the room at all. We just want to plan & swim at Atlantis. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Did not stay at Confort Inn or Atlantis, but did check it out for our trip, for the 7 of you to use the water facilities, you will need two room. Each room is allowed a maximum of 4 guest. I read the postings here and you may find a split of wheather it is worth it. We opted out of it due the cost, not sure if the cost is worth it, my opinion of course.

We booked in the Comfort Suites. Two rooms for 7 adults and 3 kids (they didn't care about the kids but limited the number of adults per room). We thought it was worth it because this turned out to be one of the best days of our vacation. The pools are wonderful and the slides are great! The kids had a blast in the zero entry pool with the multiple slides. We had to drag them out to eat lunch. The adults all enjoyed the slides, the aquarium, the casino etc. On a previous trip we had done the Atlantis Shore excursion that did not include the pools or beaches. By the time we split the cost of the rooms 7 ways it really wasn't much more expensive than the excursion and we got total access and enjoyed a wonderful day. I would do it again.

WE ARE TRYING TO MAKE THE SAME DECISION. I CALLED COMFORT SUITES. WE HAVE 2 ADULTS AND 3 CHILDREN. THEY SAID WE NEEDED 2 ROOMS. DO YOU THINK WE COULD GET BY WITH ONE OR ARE THEY PRETTY STRICT ABOUT IT. DO ONLY ADULTS GET WRIST BANDS OR DO ALL THE CHILDREN HAVE TO HAVE ONE TOO TO USE POOLS AND SLIDES? THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP

 My wife and I went to Atlantis for 4 days in February. The pools can get crowded when cruise ships are in port. Got to get there early to get a chair. The water slides are cool especially the one that you float through a pool of hammerhead sharks. The aquarium is nice too. I really can't say it is worth buying a hotel room for just one day. Food and drinks are very expensive. If it were me, I would take a city tour and get a taxi to take you to see the public areas of the Atlantis.

Hi, We (DH, DD, DS and myself) got a room at Comfort Suites during our April cruise. It was easy and convenient and just a short walk over to Atlantis and we never did go to the room. I do have mixed feeling about it being 'worth it' to book a room. It was fun to wander around Atlantis, the lagoons, aquariums and pools. And we had a super time in the pools and we did all tube through the shark tank. But it was quite expensive when you add the room cost and the taxi cost. For the four us us the total was $252 - room was $179, taxes and 'extra guests' in the room was $41 and taxi both ways was $32. A bit more expensive than the excursion through Disney but I would not have wanted to go to Atlantis and not use the pools.

To save a few $$ we picked up some fruit, cereal boxes etc. (when we left our buffet breakfast) on the ship to snack on at Atlantis. And none of us were hungry enough to have anything else at Atlantis.

Atlantis is an incredible resort and there is plenty to do and see there.

i just booked a room for our cruise in july...
the rate was something like $189 double occupancy...
additional adults (that's anyone age 16 and up) is another $45 per person....
plus 12% tax on top of that...
it came out to something like $260....
but the excursions are also expensive, and the only thing we're interested in doing are all the various pools and slides etcetc...
compared to what we're paying to sleep on a ship for 3 nights, this is downright bargain basement...

Not sure when your are going to be at Atlantis but we have had to book two rooms and we only have 5 people we would have enough bands for your other guests. We are looking to share the cost with someone as you know 2 rooms all on your own is a big expenss. We will be sailing on the 8/22 3 -day cruise.

Thanks so much thats a great idea however we will be there on Sept 16th :) Let me know how your cruise goes HAPPY SAILING

We booked a room at the comfort suites in May to use the Atlantis facilities. It is beautiful but we are not gamblers so really only used the pool. My son wanted to slide in the shark tank so badly but he is only 47 inches tall and they are very strict with a rule stating you must be 48 inches tall. There are 3 or four slides with this requirement. We wished we would have spent the money on another excursion or stayed aboard and enjoyed the ship's facilities.

thanks so much for your post!!! You don't know how much time you just saved me. I had read about getting rooms at the Comfort Suites at Atlantis and thought about checking into it. But.....since one of my kiddos is not even close to 48 inches, I'm not going to even bother! That would be such a disappointment to her. We'll probably just do some type of dolphin excursion! Thanks again!:Pinkbounc

Depending on when you're going try pulling up the Atlantis Beach club wing instead of the Comfort Suites. DH and I are considering going to Atlantis in Oct to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Expedia gave me an Atlantis beach club room for $155/night Oct 20-24 while Comfort Suites was $185/night.
