At the park now, FP+ lines are snaking through the park

Hand our jungle cruise FP+ return time and the line was snaked to magics carpets, was told by multiple CMs there was nothing they could do, called it and they said sorry too bad. We could change our FP+ but hello we actually planned per their system and it simply doesn't work.

BTMR has FP+ line snaked paste Briar Patch.

    At guest relations. No solution.

This is what I am afraid of.

Not the planning, that part I love even though most others loath.
But if I do all that planning of everyday second everyday with FP+ EMH and ADRs and then this happens and it blows it all to pieces, I just might loose it on my first trip to WDW.

Crossing fingers that this waylay will be sorted out by out trip.

This weekend was the target date to see how the system worked during peak times. According to this report not so good.
Several people predicted that FP+ would simply be a shift from long standby to long FP lines. If that is the case, what is the point of FP at all? Also, this is bad news for those who want more than 3 FP+, there is simply not enough capacity.

I think shoveling snow might be preferable to standing in a FP+ line.

Well how long was the stand by line? If your wait is shorter than the standby line, then FP is working :confused3. This is supposed to be a high crowd day with MK being the least recommended park.

We stood in a relatively long line for safari FP last week. The standby line was 90 minutes though, so I was pretty happy to have my FP.

It's seriously a blizzard in Oswego, Illinois, but I'll take waiting in a 60 minute FP+ line to shoveling this white crap any day!!!!!

What's great about this FP+ system is that it will decrease the SB wait times.

I mean, they're only 75 minutes for Jungle Cruise and 70 for BTMRR. All the while, those FP+ lines are about the same.

    WHAT A DEAL!

Such lines. Many waits. So dollars.

I keep looking at the standby wait times on my phone, they are horrendous as well. The parks must be jam packed.

It would be interesting to see with all the data disney has how the wait times are shaping up once hitting the actual FP queue (after 1st band scan) in combination with how many FP or FP+ entries hapened. In december it seemed like the FP lines got backed up at the 1st scan location and then went quickly. Scanning at the mickey head was much slower than flashing paper FP. Before multiple people could come in with one flash of FP tickets. Now each person has to scan.

I think they underestimated the need of FP+ mickey head scanners. only having 2 at the first FP+ location is not enough.

Disney's new slogan to be immediately posted at every FP+ line:

"At least you're not shoveling snow. Deal with it."

But how long does it take from the time you enter that long line until the time you board? I'm curious if the long lines are because people are having difficulties scanning in for FP+.

For example, under the old system, it was not unusual to enter Space Mountain as soon as I returned with my FP's, but once inside it still took about 20-30 minutes to board the ride. Is the new system just moving that wait outside rather than filling up inside because it takes longer to get people in?

Does anyone have information on "wait times" as opposed to "long visual lines?"

Disappointing to hear. The system just can't handle it. Or their intention is to have more people in FP line?
