Is it a big hill or little hill?

We made our way towards Frontierland. We had a FP+ for Splash Mountain at 12:00 pm. We got over to Splash but it wasn't quite time. Luckily...the train had just pulled up so we decided to go take a lap around the park! DS was in heaven! He LOVES trains!

We took a relaxing ride and then it was time for Splash Mountain!!! DH absolutely refused to ride. What a party pooper!

DS wasn't quite sure...he kept asking, "Is it a big hill or a little hill?" I replied how anyone would reply..."It's a little hill sweetie!!" What? I wasn't completely lying...there are little hills on that ride!! So he decided to do it!! YES!!

So the three of us went on our way!

We were in the last row...YES!!! I get the least wet in the back!

He's still happy....

In the end...he said he didn't like the ride...but would do it again!! I thought he was going to be my rollercoaster junkie...but I think I'm so wrong!

When we got off, the 3 of them were going to head back to the hotel. So I went to grab a paper FP for Splash Mt. for between 1:00-2:00...and DD said, "I want to go again!" I asked her if she was feeling better and she said, "YES!!" So the boys went back to the hotel, and DD and I had a girl's afternoon!

Girl's Day!

We walked with the boys to Main St. to make sure they made it out ok. Kids enjoyed looking over the bridge.

We said goodbye to the boys....and the show was going on in front of the castle so DD and I found a spot to watch.

Remember how the boys didn't use their FP for Buzz in the morning? I was able to switch that to Space Mt. for between 1-2. Before the boys left, we took their bracelet's so we could ride again.

We took a couple pics before heading over to Tomorrowland. DD was definitely feeling better and wanted her picture taken ALL the time!! Just warning ya...

We finally made our way to ride Space Mt.

She was so excited!

Then we had time to ride the People Mover!

After this, we had to rush back to Frontierland to do our Splash Mt. FP! We were in the first row and got drenched I just don't like to get that wet when it's not that warm out!

She wanted to ride Thunder Mt. again...but since about noon it had been closed down. Fortunately for us, as soon as we got off Splash Mt., they had just opened it. It said 30 min. wait, but she said she wanted to wait. Luckily, it was only about a 10 min. wait!

She LOVED it....makes me proud!

When we got off, we realized we hadn't eaten lunch yet, so we went to Pecos Bill's for lunch. I got a taco salad, she got chicken strips, and we split some onion rings!

I looked at the time, and it was almost 4:00...so I decided we should head back to the hotel.

We decided we should head back to the hotel, but as we were going, DD saw the Tinkerbelle meet and greet. She never has gotten her autograph...so even though it was a 45 min. wait...I said ok.

That 45 min. wait was over an hour! OMG...NEVER AGAIN!!! We were just at a bad spot. As soon it was our turn, they took like a 15 minute break. I told DH, "We waited over an hour for Callie to have a 1 minute conversation with each of them!!" At least we got cute pictures!

When we finally got out of there....we decided to head back to the hotel. We took the boat back and got back to the room at about 5:00 or a little after. Boys had just woken up....we decided to head to Downtown that night!

So sorry your DS was sick! Seems like the medicine was helping as each day progressed but taking breaks is a great idea. Keeping my fingers crossed that he felt better and got to enjoy the trip. How was your DH feeling throughout the trip? You mentioned he had a cold I think. So glad to see your DD felt better and you got some girl time together - so fun!

How was your DH feeling throughout the trip? You mentioned he had a cold I think. So glad to see your DD felt better and you got some girl time together - so fun!

DS was still not himself...but yes...feeling better! The naps definitely helped! DH, at this point in the trip, was still really coughing and taking Day Quill, but was being a trooper! I know he didn't mind the naps with DS either!!

Yes...girl time was awesome! She enjoys doing everything I do...so we get along just fine...while at Disney that is! At home...it's another story

Downtown...everyone (and I mean everyone) wants to go Downtown!

Our original plans for tonight was to go to DHS for EMH. But we decided to do something different....head downtown! Almost ready to go...

I think we hopped on a bus around 6:30...and of course...it took quite awhile. And when we got there...it was PACKED!!! Seemed everyone had the same plan as us!

We decided to walk around for a bit. Then we found the train, and the kiddos wanted to ride! We had to wait like 15 min. but they had fun!

After this, we decided to do a little shopping. Carson ended up buying a Buzz Lightyear nerf gun...and Callie couldn't decide on anything. But she had fun playing with the Princess Mirror!!

Once we had what we wanted, we walked around outside for a bit. I REALLY wanted to get the kid's picture with Santa...but it was like an hour and a half wait. So we skipped that.

It was now 8:30...and we hadn't eaten supper yet. So we tried the Rainforest...and it was going to be an hour wait...so yeah...we passed! We thought about walking all the way to the other end for either T Rex or Planet Hollywood...but then decided to just head back to the hotel to get something to eat.

Our last stop was the Christmas store. It's tradition to always get an ornament with the year on it. And I was so disappointed. I ALWAYS get one where you can put a picture in it...and they didn't have any. So I decided to wait and see if I could find one else where!

On our way out, we did some pictures!

We hopped on the bus around 9:15 or so....and I called my mom and talked the rest of the way back to the hotel...so for me...the bus ride seemed quick!!

We went to Roaring Forks and ate. The kids had cereal, I had a flatbread, and DH had a BBQ or something!

We did some pictures in the Lobby...and then headed back to the room. Probably went to bed around 11:30 or so....we had our only early morning tomorrow...better get to sleep!

Good tip...make a reservation before the park opens!

Today was our only "early" morning. We had a reservation at 8:15 at Hollywood and Vine to see the Disney Live characters!!!

We hopped on the bus around 7:15. Only one other family was on the bus...and the bus was actually taking them to the Beach Club after it dropped us off! We made one stop at the Floridian, but no one else got on. We made it to the park in no time at all and went to wait in line to get into the park.

We had to wait about 15 minutes and finally a lady came and told us where to go when they let us in. As she was finishing her talk...we were being let in. I LOVE walking into the parks when they aren't officially open yet! It's so neat to be practically the only ones walking into the different parks!!

We headed over to the restaurant and checked in. The kids could see the characters and were getting excited!!

Right around 8:15 we were let into the restaurant!! Let's eat and play!

Let's dance...or not!

I was *really* excited about this breakfast! We did this when DD was almost 3, and she had SO much fun dancing and playing with all the characters! So I just had this vision of both my children getting up to dance and sing with the character.....yeah...um....that's not how this visit went.

We were seated, and our waitress told us to go get our food now because the characters were a little bit away. So we went and filled our plates...well...some of us did! Carson seriously got a muffin and like 5 grapes...which he ate only half of that. He was finally feeling better so I knew he needed to start eating!!

Finally Handy Manny came around...

Then I believe the characters stopped and did a dance. I told Callie and Carson to go dance. There were lots of little kids up having fun...but my kids refused!! I couldn't believe it...they are such active children...and typically not shy...but they wanted NOTHING to do with that.

After that Oso came around....

Then came June...

And if you notice DD's plate...she ate nothing either. So another expensive meal where they didn't eat.

By now it was about 8:40....and Jake was no where to be seen. And that is who we specifically came to see. The kids were waiting patiently...

I had this plan that I was going to beat the opening crowd, and we would all go to TSM, get a FP and then also ride it standby. I looked out and I see all of these people walking through the park. I looked at DH and was like, "WHAT!!!" Hurry up Jake...we have a plan!!

I didn't see him anywhere...so I told DH that he should stay with the kids to see Jake and pay...and I would go get the FP for TSM.

So off I went. By the time I got there...the FP time was already out to between 1-2 and it was only like 8:55. I believe they started letting people in at 8:45 or maybe a tad earlier.

Well...at least I got the FP!

And DH managed to get one...yes only one...picture of the kids with Jake! Good thing it was a good one!

Ok...time to start the rest of our day at DHS!!

Great up date. I always hear people say how timely HV characters are. We had lunch there this past September and thought that they were kinda slow and then we seemed really rushed once they got to us Look really empty in there too?

How was the breakfast food? I am thinking of trying it for breakfast this year since they added Doc. My DS just loves all of those guys so much.

The food was ok...standard Disney buffet breakfast food! Waffles, biscuits and gravy, omelets, eggs, fruit....DH and I filled up...but the kids didn't!

Yeah...the characters rushed through...and it did take awhile for some to get to us! But overall, the kids did enjoy it because of the characters! I don't think we'd do that one again though! DD is outgrowing those characters

Does it goes upside down?

After I got the FP for TSM, I went back towards Hollywood and Vine to find DH and the kids. They had paid and were heading my way. So we started walking and decided to go do The Little Mermaid show. We only had to wait like 5 minutes before being let in!

Last trip, DS was a little worried about it being dark, but did just fine this time. When it was let out...the first Disney Junior Live Show was getting ready to start. So we went right over and found a seat on the nice, comfy floor! DH stood in the back!

Last trip, we missed this show, so it was a first for DS...and DD hadn't seen the new characters...so they both enjoyed it a lot!

After this, DD and I had some FP+ to use! We had one for RnRC and ToT. She did ToT when she was 5...and hated it! Last trip, she wouldn't do it. But I knew she would love it now that she was older. Now RnRC...that was another story!

We headed over that way to ride RnRC first. The entire way she kept asking, "Does it go upside down?" "Does it go upside down?" I was honest and said, "You can't even tell!!"

I got her in line and away we went....

She was a little worried....

A little angry with me...

Was happy to see Selena...

Started crying after this picture...

And in the end, did just fine!!

Now...she didn't LOVE it...but she didn't hate it. She just says, "I do not like to go upside down!!" She says she's not doing it next trip...but I say differently!!

We used the boys MB for the ToT FP+...so we were cutting it close to the time. We hurried over and got in line. She was happier about this one...

Quite the little actress....

And away we went...

I really don't think she remembered most of the ride...and when it was over...I got a, "That was AWESOME!!" I knew she'd love it!

While we were doing those rides, the boys were meeting Woody and Buzz. DH wasn't too excited because the wait said 45 minutes...but I think DS was entertained with all the items in the line que. Sorry for the lack of pictures...DH has more on his phone but we haven't loaded them on the computer yet...here's the Photopass pics!

When we were all done doing what we were doing...we all met up to go meet some more characters!!

Oh my goodness I can't do ToT!! I'm not sure what it is, but I'm never brave enough to try it and DH is so against rides that I'm even worse off since I'd go alone!

I'm sorry I haven't had an update since forever....I'm a special education teacher and of course it's IEP time. So I'm up to my neck in paperwork! I've also been stressed with other work related stuff...and weekends have been busy.

But I PROMISE to get some updates this weekend! Thank you for being patient!
