Oh My Susie. That is a tough one. He must miss he Daddy so much.
This is definitely one for the professionals. I know that my youngest often talks about when he gets to heaven that he'll get to see his great-grandfather and how soon can we all go. But yours is very serious. Stone needs some coping skills to help get through this.

I will keep you both in my prayers.

Oh Susie, that is so hard.. Have you considered taking him to the cemetery to let him talk to Dad? What about having him write a letter, going to the park or even the backyard and having him release it. I agree call for a grief counselor; call the local hospital too and see if they can refer you to someone.

Don't wait for return calls, keep calling sweetie.. Big hugs to both of you.. Poor little Stone... I wish I could come right over and hug both of you...

The hospital doesn't have anything for him becasue he is the only 6 year old.

He doesn't like to write letters.

I have an appointmetn in a month - soonest one - to meet iwth an art therapist but his psychiatrist is trying ot get him in sooner.

I have called Virg's church and left a message.

I should start hearing back from people after lunch.

Thanks for the thoughts

Prayers for you Susie and Stone!!! Poor little guy.

Susie, sending you and Stone lots of prayers!! Does the school have a counselor (not necessarily a guidance counselor, maybe even a therapist type counselor) that he could see?

Lots of prayers and hugs to you both!!

I have made an appt with someone the chuch recommended for tomorrow afternoon.
Lots of prayers and hugs to you both!!

No. The school therapist referred us to a hospital program for grief and they don't have a group for his age. They aren't real happy with me and the 504/IEP stuff so I won't look for much help.
Thanks

Oh, Susie, that must have been so hard for you to hear him say that.

My thoughts are with you both. Sorry you couldn't get an appt sooner.

Susie, that just breaks my heart. P & PD for you both!
