Asking Maid of Honor/

I am taking my potential maid of honor to dinner tomorrow night to ask her. I was thinking of getting her a little tote that says "Maid of Honor" and putting some different stuff in it. Any ideas would be great!

The minute I got engaged, I turned around to see my stepsister behind me and blurted out that I wanted her to be my MOH. She happily agreed, but had I put thought into it I would have written a nice card, or I saw someone on the boards make cookies with MOH, BM etc on them - really cute!

This is probably my practical side talking (where the heck did that come from??!) but I wouldn't go overboard with gifts or anything unless you're positive that she's going to say yes! Save all that MOH bling for the wedding itself! ​

I did it tonight, I'll post the pics later. I had already sort of halfway discussed it when we started getting more serious about marriage before the actual engagement. I made her a little "Maid of Honor" bag with candy, a notebook, and a Bridesmaid handbook. It turned out a lot cuter than I thought it would (I have zero craft skills whatsoever.)
