Both Disney waterparks and Aquatica are very good and worth it,they each have differences and are all worth doing.
Typhoon Lagoon:very tropical atmosphere, lots of trees and shade.Slides are OK but nothing special except Crush n Gusher which is a unique water coaster.Huge wave pool with the unique big wave mode.Good long lazy river and the shark reef attraction makes it the more popular if the two Disney waterparks.
Blizzard Beach:Unique ski resort theme, more thrilling slides as well as the biggest family raft ride.Good lazy river but below average wave pool.Never liked the park layout that has all the slides up the mountain so you have to continuously go up the same 2-3 staircases or wait for the chairlift for the slides that access it.
Aquatica:South Pacific theme, nice, new and colorful.A lot of palm trees but little shade.Slides are good, not as thrilling as Blizzard Beach but a good variety. Two side by side wave pools, better than BB but not as unique as TL.The best thing at the park by far is Roas Rapids which is a fast lazy river which takes you along with a fast current,I think I stayed in there 2-3 hours one visit. The park also has a regular lazy river which also takes you to a bowl slide,if you want you can just do the lazy river by picking the clear tube instead of the yellow one if you want to ride the bowl slide. This lazy river also passes by the clear aquarium area. The dolphin plunge slide is a body slide but don't expect to see the commersons dolphins when you go through. The park also does some thing better than the Disney parks, shopping and dining options easily come to mind. Also it has two kids areas that in my opinion are better as well, one of them is fun for even adults. To this day I still can't give you a definite favorite waterpark, each is different.
