April 7, 2007 Western on the Magic?

Yep, I have one of them, too! I used that for last years cruise. It was our first cruise and I went a little crazy with the pictures. Going to try digital this year as well as film.:confused3

Has anyone done the Alphabet themed pictures for your album using Disney pictues? Ex. A-Animator's C-Cinderella,etc.?

Jen

Oh I am so jealous of all of you who received your docs today! I haven't heard from my TA if they're in yet. Hopefully soon.

Thanks for reminding me about the pillowcases. I think it will make a nice gift for my niece who is crazy about all things princesses. Of course my DS (8 and 11) are not interested in princess, but the youngest is wild over Stitch!

i'm bringing both cameras - but they are both digital...i have a 35mm Nikon N50 that i put away when i got the digital Nikon D50 & i have a small Canon SD-800 that is small & light to carry all the time....haven't tried an ABC album...my kids too old for that - bet it's cute though!!!

I'm going make this album for me. I thought to capture the details and activities about the cruise- kind of like a brochure or a series of postcard pictures. Not going to put the actual ABC's. Thought it be cool to keep the theme through the album, then add family pictures from the cruise throughout. We had almost no pictures of the boat, decks, parties from last year. Our kids are to old for characters, but loved the cruise.

that sounds really cool...we'll have to talk~ do you use an online photo service to develop your digitals - like CM Photo or Shutterfly? If so, you can photograph the completed pages, upload them and send links to friends to view - i'd love to see the completed album....could make for a great CM class as well ;-)

Here's a question I've had since we decided to go on this cruise. For those of you with kids ages 8-12, Do you let them check themselves in and out of kids club? So many bad things can happen on cruise ships (or for that matter anywhere) But I think the fact that you're out on the ocean has something to do with my concern. What do you thnk?

We will let DD12 sign herself in and out. We have let her do that since she was 8 with restrictions. We always take the 2 way radios and she must let us know when she is leaving and where she is going. If she doesn't then the privilege goes away. We have let her do this on Disney and Princess and have not had an issue at all.

One thing we always do is find our stateroom then show her how to get to the clubs and the pool area (or wherever we plan to hangout). If she was comfortable then we let her to the sign in/out if not then we wouldn't have.

We too have let ours sign in/out since they were 9..we also had restrictions and two way radios..they were not alllowed in any other stateroom..even a friends, they were also to leave us a note when they changed locations in case the two way radio (walkie/talkie) did not work. They too we warned that they would loose privledges if they did not follow the rules. Since they are twins we tried at first to have them stick together, but since one is a girl and one is a boy, that did not always work out so well...all though they always knew where the other one was.

I got home at 7 last night, and ripped open the docs, and read every possible thing on them by 7:05 :cool1: Then of course I started with, we're leaving Thursday, right, DH says Yesssss, I said this Thursday, and he said Nooooo, next Thursday, keep thinking one of these times I'll be able to trick him and get to leave early. :cloud9:

We've been waiting for the cruise for 2 years now, now that there are only 9 1/2 days until we leave to get down there, it's going soooo slow.

We're leaving Thursday as soon as the kids are out of school, and driving straight through. Got a hotel in Cape Canaveral so that John, the only one who hasn't been on the cruise yet, can see the ship as we cross the bridge the next morning :cheer2:

I'm planning on being at the meet & greet at 3... Sounds like fun.

Can't wait to meet everybody.

Hey everyone!

I don't want to intrude on your meets thread but I was wondering if someone could stop by the Cove Cafe and get their Banana Creme Pie Martini recipe?

We did a back to back cruise (2/17 and 2/24) and regret that I didn't get the recipe from Danielo while I was there.

There is also another one on their menu - hazelnut something. That one is awesome too!

My navigators are posted at http://wdwinfo.com and http://castawayclub.com.

We stayed in Cozumel until 1 AM!

Also -- in Grand Cayman, there is a Margaritaville not far from the tender dock. It is FAR superior to Carlos n Charlies and Senor Frogs in Cozumel. They even have a pool for the kiddos!!

I would truly appreciate the recipe if anyone can get it and post it!

For those of you that were discussing pillowcase signatures . . . the yellow markers really don't show up well. I wish I would have left that color out of my pack.

I wouldn't worry yet, especially if you booked through a travel agent, they should have received them yesterday or today, and you should get them within a day or 2.

It's almost time.

You're not intruding at all...and i'd be happy to get that for you~

I haven't received my docs yet :sad2:

Should I be concerned :confused3

Mine are "supposed" to just be arriving at my TA's ofc today....and then she'll be sending them to me...so i wouldn't worry (YET)....i'll know by day's end if she did indeed receive them or not....she is so good about everything!!

YEAH!! UPS man just dropped them off:banana:

YEAH!!!! well you know i'll be the last one....living out here on WC....or maybe our "Brit" friends will be last~i guess as long as we ALL get on that ship before 3 pm - I'll be HAPPY!!!!:yay:

Banana Creme Pie Martini - WOW - That's sounds delicious! I will have to find one of those. Once again, I've lost my ability to concentrate on work.

No docs, no passport, and my homebound flight times have changed so much that we miss the connection by over an hour. So, I think I'll just concentrate on the Banana Creme Pie martini. Called Disney, they said boarding without the docs is no big deal, but they are in route. Plan to get a new birth certificate tomorrow in case the passport doesn't arrive. And the airline was supposed to call me back today by 11:00am to resolve the scheduling prob. At this point getting home isn't my biggest concern anyway.

DDs and I made a door sign last weekend. It's our first one, so don't expect too much. I didn't include any names/pictures even though the girls wanted me to. With two dds I'm always worried about weirdos. Do most people include names? Can't wait to get on board and meet all of you at the 3:00 meet!

Wahay
Us Brits got our travel docs today.
DH is now worrying what to take.
He wants to pack DJ but does he need another jacket or can he just have shirt and tie with nice trousers?
What are your DH's taking?
If he takes too much there won't be enough room for all the girlie stuff we need!!!!!
Do you need anything smart in Vegas or can you wear shorts into casinos?
Thanks in advance for answering all my questions.

YIPPPEEE....my docs arrived at TA's as Disney promised!!! She's going to make the drive over tomorrow to drop them at our house....YAY!!!!
