SanDiego Steph- Who did you rent your car from for Maui? We would like to rent a car on Maui but are there shuttles to the car rental places any help would be appreciated. Genny

We are renting a jeep from Thrifty in Maui for $ 54 for the day.
 
I just put in an order with a car broker recommended on this thread - the rental they arranged on Maui is with Alamo - haven't got the one back for Kauai yet. There could be a shuttle pick up at port, but i'm thinking we'll just take a taxi to the location. We're taking tours from Hilo because the ashore time is rather short. Planning to use the bus in Honolulu, and the rentals the other two ports. I've only ever taken two port excursions and I find I don't do well on them - the flaw is totally me and not the tours fault at all.
 
I called Disney today and I will fax over our first list of 14 people tomorrow. This seems rather easy - just hope that they have the room available for the day we choose. I will give them a choice of May 1-3..or really any Sea day:) UNFORTUNATELY- I can only make one of the reservations. Someone else will need to take this over at this point because I already have 14 people who signed up. Really there were more but I had to stop it at 14. Disneys requirement is no less then 12 and no more then 14 per reservation and I can only do this one time under my reservation/fax. So...the 14 people who responded by FB and DIS boards are as follows:

Sorry I can only do one ~ but that is what I was told this morning. Please let me know if I can help in any way. Either you can try getting the rest of the group on here or either on FB. I will be happy to send you other names if someone else responds to me if one of you let me know who is going to try getting this next group together:)
 


I was just wondering if the kids clubs will be doing a sleepover like they did on our EBTA? Any thoughts:)

A question for someone who have been on longer cruises before.....is the price for photo CD the same as for 7 day cruise or is it higher? Not sure yet what to do, but I know there will be a lot more photo opportunities in 15 days then we had on our first 7 day cruise last year when I just bought a photo package on the ship.....
 
Saw the Fantasy and Brent on Good Morning America today. Can't wait until it comes here on March 6th. I just hope it is not 4am like the Dream's arrival.

The price was the same, and there were TONS of photo ops - including Characters in location related costumes, different back drops, and random character encounters all over the ship.

On Panama crossing day on that cruise, there were photographers on deck, and on shore at the locks takeing photos of people on the balconys.
 
I just heard from Becky and the shirts should be here early next week - I will have a few extra shirts in the package (which I do have to pay for) That is the good news.

The bad news is I will be getting two less small and one less 2XL then I ordered. I am ok with the fewer smalls but the 2XL is an issue. They are sending two extra mediums, one extra L, two extra XL and one extra 3XL. If you ordered 2XL and a XL or 3XL would work, please let me know at valbob89@aol.com. Thanks for your help and understanding (not that I understand it)

Reminder of sorts for those of us spending time at DL before the cruise.:grouphug:

We are now within the 60 day window to reserve World of Color dinner packages and other dining reservations via DL Dining line.:idea:

We are booked for WOC dinner at the Trattoria on Friday the 27th and at Blue Bayou for dinner on the 28th. :cool1:

As for DCL, they will want groups of 12 (min.) to 14 (max) for the private room, & they will need the reservation numbers for members of each group (GTYs are ok).

Also remember that any brunch reservations already made for members of the groups will be dropped by DCL when/if they set up the group, & replaced by the new res. :goodvibes

We weren't able to get a Palo brunch reservation so if anyone is putting together another (non-celebration) one, Curt and I would love to join you.
 
Quick question -

Our first time in Hawaii and we are thinking of just renting a car in Maui and Ohau and doing our own thing. Is this a good idea or should we stick with excursions? We are doing excursions on Hilo and Kauai with Disney.

We are renting a car in Maui, but in Oahu we are doing the on-off trolley. We have both been to Oahu before and I have been in Maui. I think it depends on what you want to do. We want to drive up Haleakala in Maui but the excursion that does what we wanted was pretty pricey. We thought we'd make a lunch stop at the Lodge that the group is eating dinner at.

I think it does, the only minus is that you don't get all nice borders which you get when you buy separate photos.
 
you can get a copy of the printing rights (even in the event you want to scan in your photos to resize the prints) at the link in the sticky thread on top of the cruise board.
