April 2017 check in thread, come in and chat!

I haven't seen an April thread yet and since we just changed from March to April, I decided to start one. If there is one already, I'll delete this one!

Post your dates and hotel (if you want) and I'll get a list going!

We're heading down for a belated 45th birthday celebration for me, this will be our 10th trip as a family and we are staying at the DLH.

I've started a post with the upcoming or ongoing closures during April, the post will be updated as more information is announced.

We are heading for our first trip to Disneyland April 19-25th. Celebrating my 50th birthday and my son's 11th. We have been to Disney World 3 times when we lived back in Indiana but now we have moved to Arizona and I'm so excited for my first trip to Land, not to mention the drive is about a 1/3 of the distance it used to take us to get to World.

So, I've been keeping an eye on wait times and today seemed quieter than last week.

Anyone there right now care to weigh in?

In my opinion, it's been insane. We normally go during November or early December though, so my views are probably a bit off. It's been shocking how long we've waited for everything. We waited something like 45 minutes for the monorail in tomorrowland. And I do mean the, as in one, since there was only one going. Space stayed at 75-90 minutes all day, Star Tours an hour, TSMM 80-100, RSR 90-120, sky school and Screamin around 23-30, Soarin 60-80. Grizzly was 45-60 until the sun went down! Except small stuff like hemlich, jelly fish, etc everything was a half hour absolute minimum.

But hey, we got everything done with MM and some strategic planning. Got here yesterday early afternoon and leave tomorrow afternoon. Great trip, but so much busier than I've ever seen.

The long wait times I've been seeing are making me nervous for our trip. I figured the weekend would be bad, but was hoping the weekdays would be better.

Welcome, I've added you to the list!

We typically go either in March or August and while those wait times seem high they are not REALLY HIGH. RSR is rarely below 90 minutes, HyperSpace is extremely popular so not only have the stand by times stayed around 90 minutes but it is one ride that always runs out of FP along with RSR, ST, IJ, and now TSMM.

I heard that's because this week is blocked out to some AP users. It's the only week that is, however. :\

That is not always a bad thing, DL blocks APs when they think the crowds are going to be exceptionally high so when APs are not blocks, it means that they anticipate lower crowds. (Although really, what is a "low" Disneyland crowd these days???)

LOL!!

We drive down a week from today. YAY!

3 hours left of work.

I just have to make it through 3 more hours of work.

Edited: ugh, I just can't anymore with the work and stuff...
