I'm in, but will be back later to update the numbers. Off to work. Have a good day, everyone!

Oooh, it's April, so I'm hoping that the snows are pretty much over and I'll change my font colour to purple. ;)

As much as I would like to join this month, I know I will be way off target with my budget since we are doing DISNEY this month. But I will only buy vacation related items.

I'm in. I fell apart the end of March with planning my Dh's surprise party, but I will go back and finish and do better in April. I didn't do bad spending and no buys, just on recording that last week.

I'm in again, this is the longest I have ever stuck with this and it is really very helpful! I will say $1500 this month and try for 10 no buy days. With Easter Break in there this will be tough, but most of my Easter shopping is out of the way!

    4/2 Aldi $25
4/3 DD's Cello concert $19, Dinner after $30, Quick stop for bday cards and olive oil and gummy bears for DD $18, $50 B day gift, $50 donation to HS student Senate, and $50 to American Cancer Society-- $217

March was my first attempt, and I fell off the wagon early. Trying again this month, since I'm also starting my new envelope budget.

    No buy days: 0/10
    Groceries: 0/$240
    Fuel: 0/$48
    Eating out: 0/$44
    Entertainment/Hobbies: 0/$52

(This month is a tight, tight month because I need to rebuild my savings. We'll see if I can do it.)

Also, all purchases will be rounded up to the next dollar, and the change will go into our Disney Fund.

Thanks for starting the thread, Charming23! Be back later, but it's already a buy day. I missed Wegmans too much! Plus, I just called Comcast and asked to reduce my rate, saving $35 per month for one year. We like cable and I need Internet for work and phone to call my mom.

With spring break and Easter, I'm reducing my no-buys to 10. Got 17 in March!

    0/10 no-buys

    4/1-$23 Wegmans, $2 McD

I'm back! Crunching our March #'s, we went OVER on groceries and household items, under on gas and entertainment, so I think we were not too bad. I didn't count on replacing a tire or having the plumber so that's part of the problem.

Anyway, I'm off on a spending spree with signing DS up for a week of summer art camp and getting him a subscription to BrainPop...I'll get to my budgeting and goals tonight as I have to work on my end-of-month evaluations for my tutoring kids today. Hoping for 10 no-buy days again as I don't count groceries...but this will NOT be #1 for sure!

I would like to try this for the first time. I read a bit of last month's thread so I hope I do this correctly. I am going to try for 10 no buy days. It will be tough because I work at Target and tend to buy little things when I 'm at work.

Allrighty, I'm back and in for the month!! I fell apart at the end of last month. With moving and keeping track of 3 different houses, keeping track of my spending fell by the wayside. We're staying with my MIL for the month and most of our stuff is packed. I anticipate a few extra purchases when I discover something I need is packed and in storage :rotfl2:! I'll go for 10 no buy days this month and I'm posting a budget for the first time.

    Food: $10/$420
    Gas: $30/$200
    Medical: $50
    Misc Expenses: $65/$400

April 1 $75 Target-got a little food and a birthday gift for my nephew, $30 Gas

I'm in. This is my one year anniversery of doing no-buy. :-) I am going to track regular expenses, and not costs related to DD's wedding or selling the house. I got a raise in my new job, but I won't start getting paid until the 3rd week of April. I will have to make do with unemployment funds until then, so the budget is tight.

    Running Total: Spent $19
    $800 budget... $781 left
    $0 Days:
    Goal is 8 or more!
    coupon/sale savings : 9

    Groceries budget- $250-19= 231 left

    April 1: 19 ( groceries)

Thanks for getting us started and thinking of a clever title, Charming23!

    :welcome: to everyone!

We're going away this month, so I'm aiming for only 8 no buys, as I have nothing ready for our trip NOR do I have anything for DS5's birthday which is in three weeks!

Starting off on a not-so-good note, as I had a very stressful day yesterday and have been looking forward to this dinner out all week!

4/1: take out; ? basket raffle for my school (I'll add in the number when we get back -- I'm thinking $25)

    no buy days: 0/8
longest no buy streak: 3 days
meals out: 1/5 (not counting our trip!)
days since our last meal out: 0
longest no meals out streak: 10

We just decided to extend our Disneymoon by 3 more days to make it a full 2 weeks. :goodvibes But that means that we need to be even more careful with our spendings as just changing the flight was an extra 200$, plus room and food.

    No Buy Days : 1/12
    Gas : 0$ (max 120$???)
    Groceries : 0$ (max 250$)
Eating out (and snacks) : 0$ (max 100$)
    Non-necessities : 7900$ (max 200$)

    04/01 : 0$
