I seem to remember a discussion on a podcast a while ago about travel apps, and I think Pete mentioned an app that would store your trip info. Does anyone remember what that was?

Also, does anyone have recommendations for an app that keeps track of all your travel reward program numbers? I have all of these stored in my email accounts, but sometimes I need to just pull up a rewards number quickly to add to a business reservation.

I'm pretty sure Pete was referring to www.tripit.com. I've used it for a few years now and it is a very good way to organize your travel and track your rewards.

However, recently there has been a move by some reward programs not to allow Tripit, and similar sites, to access your rewards data. The major one that affects me is Delta. If tracking rewards in one place is important to you be sure you check to see if your program is included.

Another site, www.kayak.com offers similar trip organization tools. I've tried it in the past and it was fine. Just settled on Tripit because I liked its interface better at the time and haven't looked back.

TripIt is the one I use and I swear by it. It's a fantastic site/app and is indispensable to me when I'm traveling. You simply forward your confirmation emails from airlines, hotels, car rentals, etc to plans@tripit.com from your registered email address and it automatically adds the information to your itinerary. You always have the information at your disposal when your traveling - which I love.
