We are AP holders and going to WDW in December. Can we take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours (early and late) without staying at a WDW Resort Hotel? What do we need to show at the Gate or to get a wristband for the late hours, if anything?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You need to show your WDW resort room key, which you won't have if you stay offsite. sorry.

EMH is a perk based on where you're staying, not what kind of ticket you have. Without a room key, you won't be able to get a wristband. Sorry!

You are out of luck for morning EMH, as you need to show your room key for park entry. However, for evening EMH, if you are already in the park before normal close, you can stay as long as you want to shop, eat, and people-watch. You just won't be able to get on any rides. EMH is not enforced like the hard-ticket events MVMCP and MNSSHP.

They are no longer using wristbands. You have to show your room key at each ride.

Since your not staying onsite at a WDW Resort you can not be in the parks for the Extra Magic Hours, even if you have an Annual Pass.

Guests not staying at a WDW Resort (or certain participating area Resorts) can remain inside the PM EMH park, but, without a valid resort key-card, those guests may not ride any attractions.

Don't forget for the PM Extra Magic Hours once they have started anyone who is not allowed to participate in them can't even enter the parks, even if they just wanted to purchase something in their stores.

However, during the summer if you have either a PAP or a WPAP you can go to a water park that has morning EMH.
