Anyone else working Christmas Eve ?

Besides Santa I mean . I'm working today opening the store until noon, and then tomorrow until closing. Today and tomorrow we'll have men circling the jewelry counter with that desperate " just sell me something to put under the tree " look in their eyes I'm hoping I'm not too wiped out from work to do all the cooking for Christmas dinner.....
Who else is working????

I am until noon. Our local post offices finally made the decision to close early.
Don't know why they won't go ahead and give us the entire day off. It's always DEAD on that day! There are some years I don't know if we made as much as they paid me to work it. lol

yep I’m there with ya actionvaughn the best part is I get to take everyone’s money on Christmas day. (dealer at a casino) Then they blame me cause they hit a 16 ... instead of getting marry Christmas all day I’ll get you suck and other colorful expressions I'll feel the love all day

I work in the finance area and follow the Stock markets hol;idays.

I am an administrator in a group home and am "on call" all next week, so technically I am working all week. I do not have to go into the office Christmas day, unless there is an emergency or someone does not show up for work. (Which they had BETTER NOT DO!!)

I am working Christmas Eve, by my choice as I have tons to wrap up before the end of the year. Most of the other administrative staff have taken that day off so it will be nice and quiet and I can get tons of stuff done.

Yep I am working 11pm the 23rd to 3pm on Xmas Eve. I go back 11pm Xmas Eve to 3pm Xmas day!!

But I don't have to cook so I am all good!!

strange week for me...

closed store yesterday. off at 11 home 12:30am, off today, open tomorrow, 5 am to 2 pm, off tuesday. close wed. off thursday, open friday

I'm a nurse. Working Christmas Eve, day, night, day after is pretty much the norm. I am lucking out this year, and have Christmas off as long as everyone shows up. If not-- I will be there, and to top it off, will have no more than 2 hours notice. My luck, I'll be in the middle of cooking, and will have to go in.


Oh yeah---Same applies for New Years. MIL coming to visit, and for the first time in 5 years DH, and I could go out. Except that I'm on call, and can't drink, and have to be ready to go to work at anytime, if there is an emergency.

I work from 7:45am till noon. I work for a veterinarian, so I am sure we may have a few emergencies. If we do, I will be working past noon.

I work in a call center than is open 365, so yes I have to work Christmas eve day, but only until 3:30, so I can't complain.....I do NOT have to work Christmas day, but only because I volunteered to work Thanksgiving.

I don't anymore, but I used to love to work Christmas Eve. It seemed like people's stress had dissipated (I worked in retail) and they just had a lot of good will to spread by then.

Up until about 7 years ago, DH worked Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I hated it.
