Anyone done the Atlantis aquarium tour?

We are thinking about just taking a cab and getting our entry tickets there. Any idea how long the tour takes? I have read some reviews that you can do it in 20min.

My plan was to go early in the morning and be back to the Wonder for lunch. Is this reasonable?

Thanks

We did exactly what you are describing a few years ago. You could do the tour in 20 minutes, but you would probably miss seeing quite a bit. I think we were in there for about 45 minutes, maybe a little longer. After the tour we wandered around the grounds and looked down into the aquarium from many of the walkways and bridges around the property, then walked through part of the hotel and casino and took a taxi back to the port. Total time was probably less than 2 hours. We could have spent more time wandering around the grounds, but it was very warm so we decided to head back.

If you head over early, you should have no problem seeing everything and being back on board in time for lunch.

Thanks so much. I don't want to rush it but some of the reviews made it sound like you would just race through it.

I just posted a lengthy review of this on my trip report- with lots of pics!

I think we spent a total of at least 3 hours on property walking around and seeing the lagoons and aquariums. It's a beautiful property!

We want to do something similiar at Atlantis- I have been there before- DH and DD haven't, so maybe we'll enjoy this too. :goodvibes

Nice trip report- thanks for all of the pics. Sorry about the nausea.

We didn't attempt this as I was worried my half-fish DD would see the water slides and flip if we didn't go on them. Is there a way in that doesn't "highlight" the water park?

I was worried about the same thing and would love to know the answer too.

The only one I saw was the big one- The Mayan Temple? I think it's called- and the only reason we "saw" it was because DH wanted to check it out- so it's totally doable to aoid that area- especially if they're "policing" the grounds and checking which wristband you have on...I think we had more access to all the areas because it was totally dead there the day we went. Also too cold for me to do water rides

I loved the pics on your trip report and was wondering if you recall how much it cost for you to do the dig at Atlantis as well the cost if you added the waterpark passes. Thanks, with several kids I'm looking for the deals but without missing the fun.

We were disappointed with Atlantis. I felt sorry for the animals in the aquarium. THe whole place is quite run down. Definately not a must see IMO. We probably spent about 30mins in the aquarium and my son LOVES anything under the sea.
