Anyone been to the Anaheim Company D store?

I heard from one of my co-workers that there is a Cast Member store just a few blocks east of DL with lots of unique goodies:

From what I've heard and read, you can buy used or discounted items that have been used at the parks, cruise lines, vacation clubs, etc. or just extra supplies that haven't been used.

The catch is that you can't enter without a Cast Member (with company ID), but you can buy whatever you want once you're inside. I work up in Seattle so I don't get down to DL very often for vacation or work.

Just curious if others have had a chance to experience the store and share any tips? Thinking of stopping by next time I am in the area.

It has some nice stuff at pretty good rates. You'll sometimes find Park merch there, and there are always the very cool CM pins. The real magic is in the back where they have stuff at like 75% off.

Ohh no way! Ok, definitely have to make a stop next time then.

Was there last weekend. I usually stock up on sweat shirts and tees while there. Currently, Christmas stuff is on major discount!

Hope you guys get to go here someday. We went one day son had 40% off the already reduced prices. We only had this one day, son is cm, they have reat stuff marked down a lot.We got Hoodies, Hats, knick knacks all disneyland merchandise.Honestly it might have been say last fall or Christmas stuff but it was still great.Disney makes great apparel, its warm and soft and lasts. But it also is mega expensive unless you get discounts.I have to say its better with a discount.

Same with the park--I have paid to get in and got in free, free is better, way better.Reminds me of the Progressive Insurance Commercial--free or cheap is way better.Hope you guys can go sometime. If you have been to a Disney Warehouse in LV or the one in Anaheim--the D store gets it from Disneyland and if it doesn't sell for say six months then it goes to the warehouse.I was amazed they had big sizes which the warehouse never has.Totally worth the trip if you can go.

A friend took DH and I once...Oh the discounts! We got tons of pins, a sweatshirt each (a surprise since we are both larger sized and we figured there wouldn't be any in our sizes.) So great. Would love to go again now that I have the little one to buy for.

You must be with a CM if you are not a CM and when you are checking out you also must be able to ID the CM you are with. :) I was there a few weeks ago, found some really great stuff at really great prices, wish I'd had more $$ to buy with!

They also have 2 areas that are for CM's only. One area you can walk thru and even look at the merchandise, but you are not allowed to buy anything. (tags were marked with a pink highlighter). We went with my son and the stuff I had picked up in that area, he had to purchase. I couldn't do it, even with him beside me and showing his ID. They also have an area in the back that you won't be able to go into unless you are a CM. A friend of mine said that's where they have bigger items including furniture. She picked up a small table from one of the hotels after a remodel.

I saw the walls they used to block off the construction areas in DCA in that back area, and things like tables and umbrellas, they had some stuff that would probably be really cool to have. We didn't go in there but I did look in the cage and drooled a little. lol

:thumbsup2 lol, hard not to wish & dream a little...... :rotfl:

Anyone have a CM I can borrow? :rotfl: Just kidding.

Sounds like a great store with good deals if you are lucky enough to be able to get!

Yes, in particular it's an excellent place to get pins for cheap. :) We also bought sweatshirts that we'd seen in the park that day and paid $20ish instead of $60ish.

It's not a "catch." Company D is a store for those who work for Disney. They are allowed to bring friends and/or family with them to share the "perk" of the pricing, but it is not a catch. I have family that works for Nike. There is a Nike employee store that you can only visit if you are an employee or with an employee. That's not a "catch." It's a private store for specific people... in this case Disney employees. :goodvibes

The OP mentioned that you have to enter with a CM. Is that true or can anybody just walk in?
It is an employee store. Think of it this way: Only those who work for the Company can shop there, but they are allowed to bring friends and family with them.

I have been fortunate to be escorted ito the store three or four times in the past 5 years or so, and how good it is really depends what you are looking for at the time. On one visit I dropped almost $200 in there, and on another I spent about $20. Believe me, the $20 trip wasn't for lack of trying! They always have different things, and it all depends how lucky you get the day you go in.

Actually, not 100% true. If you are not an employee, there are sections of things you cannot buy, such as cast member exclusives. However, your cast member friend can, but you have to give them the funding. They have to hand it to the check out clerk.
